Friendly accommodation close to Hay-on-Wye
Room very clean and comfortable. Hearty breakfast (my vegetarianism was accommodated). Host extremely friendly and welcoming. Good value for money and I would definitely stay here again when visiting Hay-on-Wye.

B & B very good, evening meal not so.
The couple were both very friendly on arrival and throughout our stay. The room was clean although the bed was a little hard. Breakfast was lovely. One of the most expensive B & Bs we have stayed at - 5 * price with, in my opinion, 3 or 4* rating. We also had our evening meal at the Boughton Arms but this was a let down. Standard freezer food, which was fine but the portions were small, i.e. 2 pieces of fish would have made a reasonabe meal. Also, strangely, the fish was marked as vegetarian on their menu?

Great hosts
We had two nights here while visiting the Hay literary festival. The hosts were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble and Sheila seemed to work pretty much 24 hours a day! The breakfasts were excellent as was the evening meal on the one night we ate there.
