Ideal location for exploring the city.
Just returned from a short city break.
Excellent standard of accommodation and service. Very quiet. Just a 5 min walk to the centre.
Small but Excellent Customer Service
I stayed during a business visit.
The room was small, didn't have a kitchenette and compact facilities but this was reflected in good vfm price. It was clean and modern being decorated and equipped on a boutique hotel theme. The customer service by the team was excellent. Communications were great by phone and email and I was met late in the day in person on time with a smile and the key. There was 24hr availability by mobile for problems. Wifi was £5 per day and there were problems logging on initially so I wasn't charged although the broadband was quick and consistent. Thanks. The only problem was that the pub next door (on a Thu night) was a bit noisy with what sounded like hand driers in a toilet going off regularly until maybe midnight. Bit of noise outside as well.
From the second i booked the room customer service was top.
I had a call from an staff member to check details and then on the day i recieved a text from a staff member to doible check on times i will be arriving. Checking in was hassle free and the lady i was served by was very helpful. Room was small but perfect for what i needed, a bed to sleep in after a day of shopping and a few drinks. The city centre was a 10 minute walk away about half a mile. But easy accesible. I would deffo recommend this place to friends and family.
Great for overnight stay in Chester.
We were attending a 21st in the city. Great price for 4 of us to stay. Problem with bedding for sofa bed, rectified immediately.
Base Serviced Apartments - City Road
Room was very clean, however it was too small.
Good value stay, 4 of us on business meeting, cheaper than anywhere else, near to centre and rail station.
Why pay £100 pppn when 4 of you can stay for £60. Very clean and modern apartment
Compact but nice
Very small but clean and modern room.
Good shower and comfortable bed. A bit confusing that the hotel is labelled Base Apartments when there are also rooms without catering facilities, though this was explained by a phone call shortly after booking. Good location for nice pubs and restaurants.
a good central spot
If you like a short walk to Chester city centre and enjoy eating out this is a great base to explore.
bar downstairs for real ale drinkers, 2 indians next door an american diner opposite a thai rest prob best in Chester and great gastro pub the Harker 1 min walk. highly recommended for a weekend of fun/shopping............
This room is fine if you want open the door and fall on the bed.
Lots of stairs to climb as well. Have stayed in a number of places in Chester and so far this was the second to most expensive and the worst accommodation. If you like playing sardines you'll be fine but otherwise I advise you to find somewhere else
Lovely room, well equiped, great location but if you book for 4 adults book the 2 bedrooms as the sofa bed in the living room is not suitable for 2 adults very, very uncomfortable!!!.
And be prepared for the noise from the bar below and on the street outside.
