Relaxing and restful

Very hospitable owners.

The cottage was set in lovely gardens in a very quiet village. We had the window open all night to listen to the owls and hawks in the nearby woods. It was so dark, as there are no street lights in the village, so this gave a great view of the stars. The room was lovely, a nice bathroom, and the breakfast was very nice. Overall, a very nice stay.

Excellent, friendly B&B

Very friendly couple, nice room with all the facilities you might want.

Very quiet location but not far off the beaten track. Great breakfast.

This prettty emoor cottage B & B is very cosy, warm & welcoming. The owners have been very astute with regard to their guests' comfort ,adding little extras [ torch to help when walking out at night ] to make the stay .

However, as with most 'old' cottages, space is at a premium and compromises have to be made. Our room was smallish but pleasantly decorated in neutral colours, with a very comfortable bed.Tea making facillities are provided + tasty home bakes to enjoy but the milk [should it be required ] is in a fridge on the landing. As this is a licenced B&B,alcohol is provided in the room for personal use. Unfortunately, the toilet & shower for the room was also along the landing .[a compromise that comes with this lovely cottage ] so using these facillities, especially at night, makes you very aware of other guests. A less relaxing aspect of the stay, perhaps. Guests are asked to make their breakfast choices on arrival for the morning.Breakfast is plentiful with fresh home made bread all served in the very pretty dinning room.

The cottage is situated down a very narrow exmoor lane, opposite other buildings,so entry to Tudor cottage car park is tight but the area is well marked for the car. This is a lovely B&B,in a very beautiful area. Enjoy!
