Reviews - The Guiting Guest House

4Self Classified Guest House Ratings explained
Guiting Guest House, Post Office Lane (formerly Cow Pat Lane), Guiting Power, Cheltenham, GL54 5TZ
All our guests are assured of a very warm welcome at the Guiting Guest House which is a delightful and tastefully restored 16th Century Cotswold-stone former farmhouse with modernised facilities. Everywhere there are exposed beams with an inglenook fireplace and polished solid pine floors from the Wychwood Forest. The open fire creates a welcoming atmosphere in the colder months with a Cotwold garden in Summer. At Guiting Guest House, some of the bedrooms have four-poster beds with en suite (adjacent) bathrooms, with the exception of one which has private facilities. Our breakfast is varied and may include home-made bread with an accent on the freshness of local Cotswolds produce. If you are booking within 24 hours of your arrival date, please call ahead to confirm check-in time. Between 1st May and 30th September, at weekends, check with the Guest House before making multiple bookings for 1 night. Guiting is within very easy motoring distance of such places as Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold, Winchcombe, Stratford upon Avon, Warwick and Oxford. Just north of the village is the Cotswold Farm Park, home to the Rare Breeds Survival Trust which exists to preserve historic breeds of farm animals that might otherwise become extinct.

We booked the guesthouse for a business stay. Chris and Joanne made our time feel like a holiday. Breakfast was lovely and the room was warm and welcoming with some lovely flowers. We would not hesitate to return and have rebooked for next year. We have recommended Guiting Guesthouse to business friends.

Cotswold Experience
We found our room at the Guiting Guest House was extremely noisy - the soundproofing was poor and we were easily able to hear the conversations of guests in adjacent rooms and noises from the family in the room above. We also thought that it was poor value for money - we have stayed in other guest houses which offered better service and yet were cheaper. The room was not warm and we had no control over the heating as it was controlled centrally (although there was an additional fan heater).

Delightful!
Gorgeous property, gorgeous location, staff going above and beyond to help (we needed a taxi but the staff offered us a lift instead - saving time and money!). I would thoroughly recommend to anyone and hope to revisit soon.

A lovely find in a gorgeous area of teh Cotswold's. We were warmly welcomed and left to enjoy the clean, comfortable and generously decorated room. Everything we needed was there and it was nice to have nicely arranged fruit & cream presented on arrival for breakfast befor a lovely cooked breakfast. I would highly recommend The Guiting Guest House.
