The Isles is more less rooms above pub.
Rooms size great but really not worth £40pp, have stayed in better guest houses. Stayed in room 7 at the top. There was hardly any sockets and the bathroom was very tired with dirt/black around the shower are as well as old fashioned broken tile at the sink. The run down pine wood and towel rail was not very fetching. Overall needs a refurb. Breakfast was fine with friendly staff. It was fine and suitable for one night as a stopover with good location.
Saviour in a Tight Spot
Who would have known that the aisle of Skye was 95% booked.
This little hotel with traditional music every night came to our rescue and found a room for three of us. It was a steep climb to our small but comfortable eyrie under the Ro, but the beds were comfortable. The toilet was pretty noisy though with a pump to fill the cistern. Overall a good night, and a wonderful breakfast in the morning before our ferry dash.
perfect pub stay, no more no less
Lovely bathroom, nice little room, surprised to find lovely Suntrap out the back although very questionable rusty holey stairs to it, one lovely bar girl Jess very helpful, one other very grumpy bar woman, okay breakfast though rather hostel style squeaky toaster lukewarm coffee, nicely priced drinks, friendly locals, dodgy live band, nice room, comfortable beds excellent shower.
Strangely got told off by bar man for locking our door when we went out during the day. Odd. Good quality room for price comparably in portree.
Aufenthalt mit viel Atmosphäre. Gute Livemusik in der Bar
Guter Standort für die Inselerkundung
Good rooms above a good pub
This stay was just what it says on the box, augmented by very friendly and helpful personnel.
Skye was gorgeous, if a bit expensive overall. The food we had everywhere was delicious and in its bracket the Isles Inn was fully up to standard. It's a characterful old building and I hope they can tuck away a nest-egg to give the fabric a refit before too long, without spoiling its charming ambience and the lively nightly chaos in the bar. High-pressure modern plumbing would be a real positive - though to be fair the existing system worked without hiccups.
No lager on tap.
Unfortunately they had run out of all lagers on tap they did offer beer but thought was a bit ridiculous not everybody likes beer was a little disappointed.
top floor tiny room low ceiling, no hanging space, living out of a suitcase.
The Isles Inn
Isles Inn was traditional style pub with friendly staff and excellent food.
Would stop there again.
The Isles Inn
I had a great stay here was well looked after by the staff room was spotless and awesome value for money I would stay here again breakfast and evening meals were amazing too I would recommend this accomadation to everyone.
You couldn't ask for a better location right in the very centre of Portree, the breakfasts were excellent.
The bedrooms were clean but a bit dated, the en-suite door didn't close properly, however compared to other places we looked at it was very good value for money. the bar is quaint with a great log fire, unfortunately the noise from the bar carries up to the bedrooms but it didn't go on too long. You have to enter the hotel through the public bar. it would not be suitable for guests with mobility difficulties.
