Reviews - Alamah Guest House

4Self Classified Guest House Ratings explained
88 Kings Rd, , , Harrogate, HG1 5JX
The Yorkshire town of Harrogate attracts visitors for many different reasons. Some will come for the great historic sights and culture so inherent in such a wonderful old spa town while others will be attracted by the more contemporary aspects of a place which is home to the Harrogate International Conference Centre. The town also makes a great base for touring the historic and rural sights of the wider North Yorkshire area. Perfectly placed for all of these and with all comforts and amenities for an enjoyable stay is Alamah Guest House, an establishment which offers four star bed and breakfast accommodation. Situated just 2 minutes from the Conference Centre, Alamah Guest House is certainly convenient for this and other attractions in town and during any stay guests can enjoy a friendly atmosphere, free WiFi internet connectivity and a good hearty breakfast each morning. Built in the 1880s, the guest house retains many of its original period features with rooms sympathetically decorated in keeping with the style of the property, yet equipped with all the modern features expected from 4* accommodation. All rooms are en suite and with single, double, twin, and family rooms available there is plenty of scope for couples, families, or lone corporate travellers or holidaymakers to enjoy convenient and well equipped Harrogate accommodation. Tariff starts from £50 per night for a single room rising to £72 for a twin, £70 for a double, and from £78 to £100 per night for a family room depending on two to three people sharing. Single occupancy of a double or twin room is £58 per night and £65 per night for a family room. Included in all stays is breakfast, chosen from full English selections or vegetarian alternatives. Within the local area are picturesque villages, market towns, historic castles and abbeys and areas of outstanding natural beauty. In town you can head for some retail therapy or relax in the Turkish Baths or stroll through the Valley Gardens

Fabulous Guest House
A really fantastic stay- we felt welcome and at home from the off. The rooms were incredibly comfortable and clean, with everything you could need.
The breakfasts were fantastic and the hosts accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Weekend away
It is difficult to find fault as there has been care taken in the layout of the rooms and the standard is high. A warm welcome, rooms are great and breakfast is very good and a great choice and nothing is to much trouble.

Extremely convenient for the centre of Harrogate. The room at the back was very quiet and the bed very comfortable.

Most comfortable stay
Judy and Sue are very warm and friendly hosts. The room was spotless and the en-suite sparkled. Beautifully decorated with keen attention to detail. Breakfast was very good - grilled, not fried - and in a warm and comfortable atmosphere. It is less than a 10 minute walk into town. Overall, it was a lovely stay and I will definitely be going back. I'm working on a long tour, staying in a lot of B&Bs, but this one has been the best so far.
