Nice staff, good hotel
Room was small, but that was to be expected with a single.
Clean, tidy. Staff member was friendly and helpful. Shared bathroom was fine. :)
Cheap and cheerful. Breakfast good. Room a bit small - too cramped for 2 people.
There were no soap, no shower gel.
Need to take your own, if you stay there. Pillows very soft, need replacing. Door to room would not fully open, as bed was in the way. This room should only have a single bed - too cramped for double bed.
Very Impressed for a Budget Hotel
After reading some of the reviews i was a little worried as to what to expect, but as we wanted something cheap and central we picked this hotel, i am so glad we did.
i was most impressed, the hotel was clean and nicely decorated the check in lady was polite enough, we had a triple room with 2 singles and a double bed, and there was a bathroom down the hall with a bath as well as the room having an en-suite, so with 3 to a room you could always use the loo in there if there is a queue forming. The only issue is lack of parking, there are limited spaces right outside (free after 6pm and all day sunday) but it is central so its not uncommon to have to park else where. for a £50 triple room which is only a 3 min walk into town i was really pleased with it. will defo stay again!
There was sick all over the carpet that wasn't cleaned.
Richard III - making an entrance again with your usual flair!
A good location for access and within easy walking distance of the train station, universities and the city centre on the eve of the reburial of Richard III.
However, entrance to hotel poorly signed, designed and constructed - a door in a wall, which I initially walked past. Staff friendly and helpful and the room clean and reasonably priced. On the downside, city traffic noise starts early and a lack of double glazing ensures that lorries and buses will get you up in time for an early breakfast. Breakfast itself was pleasant enough, however the only choice was a continental breakfast. continental the only choice
Overnight stop in Leicester
Went to a gig in town the location was ideal and walking distance from bars etc.
the staff friendly and twin room better than the double but both warm and clean. Tv great and a fantastic shower. Bed was not great needs improving but on the whole for the cost absolutely brilliant hotel.
Basic but clean
Room clean and tidy. No hairdryer. Set up in the dining room not good - a 'free for all' and ran out of some items which were replaced - eventually. Found out the 'Mercure' hotel also in a good location costs the same price and would have preferred to stay there.
Great value for money.
No hassle. Nice food. Clean room. And low cost. Right in the centre.
One night stay!
Booked a king size ensuite and found it was two singles pushed together with 3 flat pillows On the bed.
Shaving light didn't work. Bedroom door was very hard to lock and unlock with a Yale
Key. The proximity to the town was excellent and noise was minimal. Breakfast was included in the
Price. Room was value for money.
Castel Park Hotel Triple Room
A lovely room....
Double bed and two singles which amazed me. There were three of us and I roamed from one single bed to the other, just because I could. Bed linen was all white and very clean. TV, coffee and tea making facilities available... Extra pillow and the room was lovely and warm even for me.... Never warm. I will certainly be going again.... oh, the receptionist was very welcome and friendly with a lovely smiley face. Very good value for money too.. Couldn't stay for breakfast but I saw it being taken to someone's room and it looked and smelled delicious. Hopefully on my next stay I will have time to eat.
