Semington Road, , , Melksham, SN12 6BZ
The Conigre Rooms and Restaurant is a charming Grade II listed 400 year old farmhouse, converted to an 8 bedroom property & restaurant. The property is family run and aims to offer friendly service in a relaxed environment. We have eight individually decorated ensuite bedrooms, five doubles, one twin and two singles, each designed for your comfort; whether visiting on business or pleasure. The main house has three bedrooms, all on the first floor. Our converted Stable Mews offers a further five ground floor bedrooms. The property has an excellent restaurant offering contemporary menus using local produce where possible. We offer a competitively priced midweek menu, 3 courses for £21 and an a la carte menu on Fridays and Saturdays. Please note that bookings are essential and that the restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings. We have a comfortable bar and a guest conservatory to enjoy the views of our peaceful garden. The hotel has a large function room which is ideal for special occasions or a light, airy environment for business meetings and conferences. We specialise in small, private functions, where we are able to offer exclusive use to our guests. We are located on the outskirts of Melksham, close to the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. We are 15 minutes’ drive from Junction 17 of the M4 motorway. Free wifi is available in all bedrooms and throughout the house.

Nice room but freezing cold
We booked room night b4 we stayed .. The room we choose was in a converted stable block nice decor and large ensuite with corner bath. Breakfast good. The only negative was the owner didn't turn heating on until our arrival so the room was very cold even though heating left on overnight by owner at our request. Would have presumed that if guests are booked for a room that the heating would be turned on a sufficient amount prior to check in time for the room to be comfortable.

A lovely stay
We arrived quite late but they were totally fine with it as we phoned ahead. The room was very nice, plenty of space and a very comfortable bed. The area was quiet and easy to find. The room was clean , tidy and fresh. The breakfast was very nice with locally sourced produce.

Comfortable stay
We had a lovely stay, in the large family room. The room had a large roll top bath which was great for bathing the children, only thing we missed was a power shower. We had to use the shower connected to the taps which was ok but had to sit in the bath to use it. Breakfast was delicious and the children were well catered for. Customer service was excellent, very friendly service and nothing was too much trouble. Would return again, thank you for a comfortable stay!
