100% would recommend it to a friend
Well worth a visit
Arrived on a Saturday afternoon and straight from the start a warm and very friendly welcome, rooms accessed by separate entrance were very well decorated clean and modern after travelling we returned on both night for evening meal the quality and variety of meals on offer is excellent and great value for money, in the evening the Shakespeare is very popular yet still feels welcoming and despite the rooms above the bar the sounds from below were never intrusive this really is one of those places you only come across every so often and would love to keep it a secret if you get chance pay a visit you will not be disapointed
I love it
We stayed one night & met chef first.
Because arrived little bit early. Everybody friendly & lovely place to stay. Breakfast is gorgeous(I think Landlord cooked breakfast). I had full english breakfast. Then later we asked to housekeeper Ruth leave our car & want to walk to Ironbridge. No problem. We'll going back to stay again. Highly recommend. Good value.
I have stayed in many hotels and B & B's over the years and The Shakespeare is the best I have ever found.
Location: Is a quite village of Coalport, an historic quite and pretty village 1.6 miles from Ironbridge. The pub is on the road but it is a narrow peaceful road. I don't like traffic noise but easily slept with the window open. I walked into Ironbridge along the old Severn Valley Railway which is now a country trail and there is the Coalport Museum in the village as well as attractions close by. Accommodation: Traditional in décor, tasteful, comfortable, clean and with quality toiletries and biscuits. Food: One of the best menus I have seen in a long time, a wide choice of English, Asian (Thai/Chinese) and Mexican. All at very reasonable prices with good size portions and very tasty. The Full English was enough to keep me going until 8pm, well cooked and tasty. Clearly a talented chef (or chefs). I stayed on a Wednesday and the bar was very busy with eaters. Drink: Four real ales at reasonable prices.
Staff: Genuinely friendly and helpful
If you are looking for a Pub/B&B I cannot recommend this place highly enough, however if you want the contemporary corporate hotel then this is probably not for you.
I stayed while on business in the area and will most definitely be coming back as soon as I can.
This was a great stop-over for our trip from the south coast to Liverpool.
We would have happily stayed for longer. Great attention to detail and the food was amazing.
The Shakespeare Inn
Excellent customer service and very friendly staff.
There was lots of choice for breakfast and it was good quality food. The restaurant is very busy probably because the food is varied and good quality - definitely worth booking a table. The only downside is the rooms are above the restaurant and you can here some noise until it empties around midnight
Very comfortable 4 nights with friendly staff
We had four nights at the Shakespeare in very comfortable surroundings.
The room was a reasonable size with comfortable bed and a good en-suite with shower. The food, both for breakfast and dinner, was excellent - portions almost too generous. The only downside was having to climb steps (very steep) to the accommodation with no cover from the elements. Fortunately we did not experience rain!
The Shakespeare Inn
Very good, value for money room ready 1300hrs good quality food,
Book a table at weekends very busy.
Great room, great customer service as well as great food.
A fantastic find in a beautiful area.
Food, staff and room all amazing.
Definitely will be back.
The Shakespeare Inn
We had a lovely stay.
The staff were helpful, friendly and wanted to do everything they could for us. The setting was very good too. The only downside was that the bathroom was chilly with not even a towel rail to warm it.
