We were very well looked after in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Quiet location and easily walkable to town and coast. We enjoyed talking about the history of South Shields and learnt a great deal from our hosts

Delightful Guest House, why pay double for Premier Inn which is out of town?
Very clean and well presented period property. Room well equipped and very nice, the superking in room 3 is very, very comfortable!
Previous guests have commented on the décor, which while a little dark in the hallways due to the dark stained woodwork, is very much in keeping with the property and adds to the charm, Ikea style would look daft.
Customer service was excellent and breakfast was superb.
Have stayed again since and would return for any future visits.

Excellent
The accommodation was of a high standard and very clean. The breakfast was good and freshly prepared. I have stayed in bigger and more expensive hotels that were nowhere near as good as this.
