3Self Classified Bed and Breakfast Ratings explained
2 Coshquin Road, , Londonderry, Derry, BT48 0nd
Family run bed and breakfast. Victorian property with mature gardens, close to shops, restaurant, pub etc. The house has wireless internet connection in all rooms, and there is also a computer for guest use. All rooms have ensuite facilities and tv. There is a guest kitchen where snacks or even full meals can be prepared. Guests have use of the garden, patio and barbecue facilities. A separate tv lounge is also available. Many of our guests refer to Arkle House as a home from home, and that's the feeling you get as you drive in, even before you get inside. The house is absolutely bursting with character and charm. The dining room and tv lounge have original fire places dating back to circa 1890. The old bathroom has a Victorian roll top bath dated 1903, and there are many more charming features. We are ideally located about 5 minutes drive from Derry city centre 25 to 30 minutes from City of Derry airport, close to the university and Templemore sports complex .Donegal, the Inishowen peninsula and the Giant's Causeway are easy driving distances. Foyle International and Derry City golf courses are only 10 to 15 minutes drive. The two fantastic links courses at Bayliffin Golf club are only 35 to 40 minutes.

Stunning Welcoming Guest House
Arrived extremely late and received a warm welcome. We were shown o our rooms and they were simply stunning. Rooms beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, ensuite clean and practical and the added bonus of a guest kitchen on th same floor as our room. The children had their favourite pop tarts and the adults a welcome cup of tea and toast before bed. Breakfast was delicious and covered our varied and wide tastes.

A Pleasant Midsummer stay
Arkle House is a beautifully maintained Victorian gentleman's residence only 5 minutes drive from Derry city centre but feels as if it were in the heart of the country. It is surrounded by well-tended gardens and mature trees and has secure parking. The rooms are spacious and attractive each with an en suite. It is very quiet at night and you feel that you are a personal guest of the family. They could not do enough to be helpful to me. The full Irish breakfast competes with the best hotels. There is a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and I was impressed with the number of foreign guests all of whom were enjoying the charming setting and service.

Hospitality
A fabulous Victorian house with a host & hostess who really understand customer service. They made 3 motorcyclists feel very @ home & were very kind. Somewhere safe to park when touring is a huge bonus. Close enough to enjoy the town, with just a short cheap cab ride back to "home".

Weekend Break
Beautiful old building, still with many of the original features. Separate shared kitchen for visitors. We had no car, but £3.50 taxi from city centre. Close to newsagents, bar, off sales and more. Myself and my partner were well looked after. We also got to witness an incredible sunrise from our window!! We hope to return very soon. Thanks, Karen.
