4Visit England Assessed Bed and Breakfast Ratings explained
The Green, Shipton Road, Milton-under-Wychwood, Burford, OX7 6JH
This family run B&B is ideally situated being in the centre of this lively Cotswold village, nestling deep in the Evenlode valley and only 8 miles from Stow-on-the-Wold, and 4 miles from the mediaeval town of Burford. The famous University City of Oxford is 25 miles to the east whilst Shakespeare’s Stratford lies 28 miles to the north making the Hillborough an ideal base to enjoy touring the beautiful Cotswolds and the Heart of England. The three bedrooms are all tastefully furnished, the family room which is situated on the second can accommodate a family of four in a double and two single beds and has fine views over the Green. The first floor double bedroom has a king size bed and picture windows with views to the hills over the Green, whilst the Ground floor twin room enjoys flat easy access from the car park with no thresholds to cross. All rooms are provided with hospitality trays and television.

Nice and quiet
Lovely old house in quiet village. Huge bedroom, the softest bed I have slept in for years. A couple of excellent pubs a short drive away., serving good food. Good wi fi, great breakfast. Will stay again when in the area.

character b&b ,ideal location for Burford,Blenheim and Stow
Due to change in weather room was slightly chilly on arrival but warmed up when heating kicked in.
Room was excellent having been freshly decorated, would have benefited from a small armchair. Could have had biscuits on tea tray , but that's just nit picking. Bathroom pristine with toiletries supplied. Breakfast plentiful and cooked to order.
Great local pubs with good food , especially the Lamb.

Stay at Hillsborough House
The room had just been refurbished and was welcoming with a pleasant view of the green. The location made for a good base to tour the Cotswolds. The breakfast was freshly cooked and I enjoyed the bonus of a croissant. I would recommend it and may return at some time in the future.

Overnight
This property is probably one of the best experiences of the whole trip, clean, quiet, good value and welcoming.
The only reason that I was unable to give full marks was that they only except cash, this was not made clear on the net. Not a criticism of the property but customers should be aware.

Welcombing family rin b&b
Friendly helpful owners, very clean accommodation, with comfy bed which you don't always get,
plenty of off road parking with 2 good pubs just a short drive away for evening meals. Central for Oxford city (park & ride) and a short distance from Blenheim Palace, Kifsgate and Hidcote gardens

Excellent B and B
A wonderful B and B, very well located to tour the Cotswolds by car. Service provided by the family who own the B and B was friendly, courteous, charming and efficient. The bedroom was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was genuinely full and sumptuous, as good, if not better, than a five star hotel.

Excellent place to stay in the Cotswolds
Hillborough House is an excellent B&B. The room was spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and looked as though it had been recently re-fitted. There was plenty of hot water, good sized towels, toiletries and plenty of hot water. The breakfast was excellent with a good range of cereals, fruit juice, fresh croissants and toast as well as the full cooked option. The standards of service were friendly and welcoming but also very professional.

A memorable experience
I can safely say that this has to be the most enjoyable stay
that I have had in any bed and breakfast. The owners were
extremely hospitable and I would certainly recommend it to anyone seeking
a break in the Cotswolds
