3Self Classified Bed and Breakfast Ratings explained
Durlock Lodge, Durlock, Minster, Ramsgate, CT12 4HD
Durlock Lodge is an 18th Century lodge which offers guest house accommodation and self catering cottages in the tranquil Kent countryside. Guest accommodation includes a complimentary continental breakfast. Our four poster room is ideal for romantic occasions. Pets are only allowed in the self catering cottage or studio. Unfortunately pets are not allowed in the lodge. The quiet village of Minster is located within 6 miles of Broadstairs with its harbour and beach, Sandwich (Cinque Port & Pfizers) and Ramsgate (marina, beach & Kent International Airport). The holiday cottage is surrounded by farmland with a range of country walks and cycle routes. There is a railway station within five minutes walk that will take you to Canterbury in 15 minutes or just under two hours to London. Highly recommended is The Corner House Restaurant and Bar ( thecornerhouseminster.co.uk), a personal favourite just 3 minutes walk away. The village has a range of pubs and restaurants all within an easy walk so no need to get in the car.

Nice one night break
We would highly recommend Durlock Lodge to anyone seeking high quality B&B. The owner was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Short distance to Dover ferries.

Stayed on the way to take a ferry to France, but on taking a walk around the area realised the village had a lot to offer and could easily be a holiday destination for a few days. The accommadation was good, very comfortable and everything was explained clearly on arrival.

Wonderful landlord. Clean well presented rooms. Lovely little village with country pub and amiable locals. What more do you want?

world class
After a long drive home all you want is a comfortable warm bed....did we get that...no....we got better. Arrived to a lovely chap asking how we were and a little about us reaching for our bags and showing us to the room. Thought about asking us if we had ate despite it being 9pm to make sure we were okay and pointed us in the direction of anything u could think of, watering holes, eateries oh and a post office. The breakfast was lovely warm croissants ready out the oven and yoghurts in our fridge best of it was a two second hop from the bedroom to the landing to collect. Comfortable bed...despite only getting a quarter due to my other half deciding it was too nice for me to share and a lovely view of chickens. On our departure the other owner a lady asked us how our stay was and again a little about us. Personal touch goes a long way and we would stay again for sure.
