Birthday celebration weekend
We saw Ferry Harty when looking up Leysdown and thought it looked great so went for a drink to see for ourselves.
It looked great and we booked to have a meal and stay overnight. It was a very different experience to other places we have stayed. The starter for the 4 of us was exceptional, the main meal was very tasty if different to the norm and we had liquors rather than dessert. It was very unrushed and pleasant experience. Criticism we sat next to an outside door and it was bad rain and wind outside therefore it was cold with draught coming through door and although there was a curtain rail which would have benefited from having heavy curtains up there were no curtains. The stairs up to the room are very very steep and narrow so anyone with knee, leg or arthritic problems they are not good. The room was great apart from very little sleep due to creaking (very badly) bed every time you turned over and the bed could do with being replaced. That said staff were great, our stay was great and we would stay again and would recommend to others.
The room was extremely clean and comfortable.
The breakfast was amazing with local fresh produce and the best sausages ever. Definitely stay here again.
Unexpected and wonderful surprise
A beautiful hotel situated in a stunning location.
The staff were extremely friendly and the food was amazing. Fantastic.
'Does exactly what it says on the tin'
Very good accommodation and location, although remote, is very beautiful.
Food excellent - the flavour of all ingredients at both dinner and breakfast was superb - the benefit of local and knowledgeable sourcing. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again if in the area.
Excellent in every way
Great place to stay, friendly staff, good food, lovely room, although the room creaked with any movement, floor and bed especially noisy.
Great quiet location, staff very friendly & helpful, food was excellent
My only negative was that the restaurant lacked atmosphere, some background music would have been nice
Staff is ever so friendly.
We only stayed for one night. Wondered were we would end (long lonesome road). Nice rural surroundings. Beautiful room. Quiet. Breakfast was good. Really enjoyed our stay.
We arrived past 9pm and It was a hot summer night and needed a fan in the room which we didn't realise until past 11.30 but there was no one around as pub/restaurant was closed
Location remote but worth the drive.
Excellent room and very attentive staff. Fabulous restaurant in the evening ,breakfast not quite the same standard but perfectly ok
