100% would recommend it to a friend
wonderful relaxing stay
from the moment we arrived at Willowbeck Lodge we were made to feel welcome and special.
we felt as though were friends coming to stay. Liz and John were excellent hosts. Breakfast was gorgeous. Piping hot cooked breakfast always a problem in some hotels. our room was overlooking the lake must be lovely in the summer. Liz upgraded our room and it was extremely nice. very comfortable bed and beautiful furniture and bathroom. Loads of wardrobe space too if you were staying longer than our 1 night. a welcome tray was layed out for us and i really enjoyed the chocolates. would highly recommend Willowbank Lodge it was wonderful
A delightful stay
I booked a night at Willowbeck lodge for my wife and I on our wedding anniversary.
The place is wonderful. It has the friendliness of a bed and breakfast, but with the standards of a hotel.
It's only a few minutes from the motorway but felt as tranquil and idyllic as the pictures suggested. The owners were incredibly welcoming and helpful, the room was lovely and immaculately clean and I was also really impressed with the food. The steak in particular was delicious. I hope to stay there again in the future.
What a gem - I should not really review as I want to keep this one to myself.
A wonderfully warm welcome even prior to arrival, communication from Liz and John is fantastic and un-intrusive.
Upon arriving again Liz and John could not be more accommodating the room and facilities were very well explained and Liz even bought up a glass of wine, perfect after a long drive and a long day's work. I slept, undisturbed by a sound, like a log after a soak with plenty of hot water on tap.
The cooked breakfast was extremely tasty and well presented with a good selection of fruits, yoghurts, juices and cereals available to choose from while the hot breakfast is being prepared for you.
The location is easy to find being less than a mile from the M6, not that you would know this once you have arrived. Parking is ample on site and the setting is beautiful even in early spring with no leaves on the trees and little sunlight on the magnificent pond.
A very relaxing stay in a very fine establishment, I would recommend this for any traveler who is looking for a friendly, home from home stop over.
What a great find - Jewel in the crown !
found this through this web site but what a find, fantastic welcome by Liz and John and lovely log burner blazing away to welcome me in, and a welcome by name- how to feel relaxed straight away, nothing was too much trouble.
The rooms were great and very comfortable and the venue was great, with lovely rooms, great comfortable sofa's and just relaxing environment
