Dale End
I've stayed here on numerous occasions when working in the area. Very hospitable hosts, lovely rooms, great showers in the en-suites and the fruit salad with breakfast is highly recommended along with the homemade bread and poached eggs. Quite near to Hamsterley Forest for some MTB trails and quiet B roads if you prefer road cycling.

What a lovely place and a great welcome from Margaret and Peter.
What a amazing B and B. Margaret and Peter were the most lovely people they made us feel like we were at home but we had the added extra of a wonderful full cooked breakfast with fresh coffee which I didn't have to make for once... The room was spotless and the surroundings were amazing. There is a pup nearby about 5 minutes walk where you get a evening meal or Sunday lunch which is really good and good value for money. We are going back in a few months and would not stay anywhere else.A wonderful and very happy and pleasurable stay. Thank you Margaret and Peter.

Perfect B and B
Working in Durham and wanting to stay somewhere quiet, Dale End was simply perfect. Margaret and Peter were very welcoming. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and of a very high standard. Use of the large lounge, tea with cake on arrival and the offer of a 'nightcap' all contributed to a very pleasant stay. I highly recommend this B and B. It is certainly unusual in the high quality that it offers for such a reasonable price. Most importantly, breakfast was superb!

An excellent B&B
This was an excellent B&B which fully deserves the positive comments which I read before booking.
It is conveniently located near to the A68 and easy to find. The accommodation is lovely, and I was warmly greeted on arrival with the offer of coffee and fruit cake. (quite delicious it was too!) They recommended the local pub as a good place for a meal - and so it proved to be. On return to Dale End, I able to have a complimentary "dram", which ensured a totally quiet night's sleep. I had a beautifully-cooked full breakfast before leaving the next morning. The cost represents excellent value for money.
It would be hard to find any room for improvement and they well-deserve the high scores of previous assessments.

the best b&b i have ever stayed in
this is the best b & b i have ever stayed in. immaculate room, every thought catered for (iron, ironing board, hair dryer, mineral water, soap, shampoo etc). We had tea and cake on arrival. They found wrapping paper for the present I had forgotten to wrap. They drove us to our party, The bed was super comforaable and the duvet very snug (unlike most b&b's and hotels). Breakfast was delicious. Beautiful location. Worth every penny. Quite exceptional.
