So Park Battersea, London
Very nice hotel with very, very comfortable beds...!!!
Stayed for one night over the weekend in a double room.
Service was brilliant, the room was clean and large and the bed was super comfy. The bathroom was clean and well presented, and the hotel was within walking distance from bus and underground links - all round a fantastic experience staying here.
New Years Eve n London
The hotel reception was welcoming and we were given an excellent room, very spacious and clean.
Lots of hot water and comfy beds, we would definitely stay again. The heating system was not switched on correctly, one phone call and 5 minutes later the man came and fixed it for us. The location was excellent really close to cafes and shops the Italian restaurant nearby had excellent home made food. The pub called Magic Garden was a 6 minute walk away and served the best Bloody Marys we have ever tasted. We will definitely be staying there again.
Stay was tarnished by an E Mail I received on the morning of my stay stating due to a maintenance issue they could no longer accommodate me and were offering an alternative room in North London.
I had 4 colleagues staying at this hotel and chose it as I was attending an evening event in Battersea, I eventually after a number of calls got a room at the hotel. This however caused me a great deal of stress and anxiety before my arrival. Upon arrival there was no sign of maintenance work and a number of other guests upon arrival were told there were no rooms for them despite being previously booked. My thinking is they had overbooked for that day. All in all not a great/pleasant experience.
4-star accommodation in an ideal location
We made a last-minute decision to stay in London for an event and SO Park ticked all the boxes.
The accommodation surpassed our expectations and is the perfect place to stay for business visitors, but the pullout bed makes it also perfect for a family visit to the Capital.
dont know if it was more like a jail cell or a funeral parlour
bleak depressing sort of place with a strange smell in the room and under bed.
room also had a sterile clinical feel with scruffy furniture. toilet was for the disabled with cracked tiles.
Attention to detail
I often feel when staying in hotels that if the owners were to spend one night in each of the rooms they would be able to pick up on things that 'The Hotel Inspector' would have noticed.
e,g, the wires that were trailing from the TV looked ugly, the lopsided look of the reading lamp in the lounge section and the poor quality of one of the hand towels (holes were evident). This was a great shame as otherwise it was an excellent place to stay with a very good pub opposite and places for breakfast just down the road
Excellent customer service.
SO PARK, Battersea
Conveniently-placed with easy access to Victoria Station by bus for trains, tube or more buses to see sights of London.
Easy to find, comfortable accommodation, pleasant staff and parking available.
Excellent location for Battersea Park, bit of a trek from the nearest tube but the walk is only 30 minutes.
