A great place to stay

Langley Cottage is a lovely B&B in a very quiet country lane in Whitacre.

Carol & John (the owners) could not have been more welcoming when we arrived.

The room we stayed in was well laid out, and really peaceful with a view overlooking the back garden. The en-suite, whilst quite small was more than adequate for us. Tea & coffee provisions in the room were excellent, as were the Victoria sponge cakes.

We had our evening meal at The Plough in nearby Shustoke. The food and setting were really good, but beware - the chilli con carne and rice is quite spicy. The full English breakfast that me and my girlfriend had at Langley Cottage the following morning was huge, and was cooked exactly the way we'd asked the night before (my girlfriend is a bit of a finicky eater!). We didn't have anything else to eat until later in the evening because the breakfast was so filling. All in all a fantastic place to stay, and somewhere we will definitely visit again.

Idyllic country location

Lovely guest house tucked away in the countryside.

Beautiful gardens, charming cottage and quaint room. Very comfortable bed and all facilities in good order. Would definitely stay again. Owner very welcoming.

A little dated bedroom but nice en suite

Very warm welcome with tea and cake.

Recommendation for evening meal, however upon arrival at The Plough the car park was horrendous, we even witnessed someone back into another car as the car park was so cramped. The plough was very busy with cramped seating and low ceilings, it all felt quite claustrophobic. The food was pub grub but not really at its best. Disappointed. We found that Coleshill nearby provided much more pleasant surroundings for a lovely meal and wish we had eaten here.

Anyway back to the accommodation the room was quite dated, we stayed in a triple room, myself and two daughters. The en suite bathroom was modern and very nice. The beds I am afraid to say were very lumpy and hard. We had to pad them out with blankets so we could sleep. We did tell our hosts and they said they were in the process of renewing things. They had building works while we were there. The breakfast was nice but no fresh fruit at all. Cereals and cooked breakfast, not offered continental either. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating and we would stay there again but perhaps not in the same room. It is very convenient for the nec stadium and the airport.

When my husband and I arrived at Langley Cottage we were made to feel very welcome.

We were shown to our room which was very clean and comfortable, the en suite shower room was spotless. John and Carol were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We were asked at what time we would like breakfast the next morning, and wow what a breakfast. We were set up for the day. We would highly recommend Langley Cottage and we would definitely stay again.

What a gem of a place.

The welcome was exactly that welcoming with a cuppa brought to the lovely room.

Pub and eating spot not only recommended but booked for us and as the recommendation suggested it was excellent. Breakfast WOW not only a good size but excellent quality. This is one of the places you don’t want to tell people about because it may be booked up the next time we want to go !!!!!
