Very helpful staff
Room was noisy, but we were moved with no quibbles the following night.
All the staff we met were very helpful, from the fantastic night porter we first complained to to the reception staff and the lovely lady turning the rooms over. They made a few mistakes about ensuring food was gluten free, but took them on board immediately. Couldn't sample evening menu as a private function was taking place. Bar closed a bit early.
Fantastic bed and breakfast!!!
Lovely bed and breakfast.
Staff made our stay enjoyable. Everyone was friendly and helpful, i wouldnt hestitate to stay here again
Hotel next to banging nightclub
Booked 3 days before stay.
Not much else available do took a punt. In fairness I didn't read much about the hotel before booking. My room was very loud st night, as the hotel is next to a very lively nightclub. The walls banged all night.
Nice place - but watch that vending machine!
Julie on reception was great.
Friendly and accommodating. We arrived early and our room was ready. This may well have been lucky but it was nice anyway. Breakfast was very tasty. The English option was very good - the continental looked a bit anaemic to me but still not too bad. Overall a good stay and I would use again. One thing, and it seems a small one, but it absolutely isn't: I bought a can of Vimto from their vending machine. It cost me £1.20 and the can was price-marked at 55p. This sort of thing REALLY annoys me.
One night stand!
Only stayed for one night whilst visiting family nearby.
Hotel was excellent, friendly, helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable, only problem was shower as it was either freezing cold or boiling hot and lacked power.
Room was not what we expected, hairs in the bed and an empty tramadol packet we found on the wardrobe.
Shower was like a dripping tap so unable to wash hair. Hole in the carpet also where a radiator has been removed.
Great view, seafront location. Nice hotel
We stayed for 4 nights in November, here visiting family.
We were given a seafront room, great position, nice hotel. The staff were great, breakfast lady was excellent, clean pristine bedding & towels in the room daily. No noise. We were on 2nd floor. Don't moan at the staff if you can't park outside the front door. They don't have loads of parking so be prepared to park away from hotel by about
2 roads ( 2 mins walk ). Like most places in Britain to be fair....
Only suggestion is that the windows could be included in the cleaning of the room.
private function room,no early nights sleep
The hotel has a function room on the ground floor,i would recommend asking if there is a function on during your stay dates as the music goes through the hotel, music is switched off at midnight,no good if you want an early night.
My second stay at this hotel.
I visit Whitley Bay regularly as I have family there.
Stayed for the first time last year and loved it. Brilliant hotel. Stunning sea views. I booked a single room, which turned out to be larger than
many double rooms I have stayed in, and very comfortable. Great breakfast. Can't think of anything
that wasn't available. Friendly and helpful staff. I would like to mention Leigh particularly, who went
out of his way to be helpful, and always with a smile.
Had lunch at Noir the restaurant which is part of the hotel, and it was very acceptable. Great value for money. Will definitely be staying there again.
