Simply the Guest Awards Winner

Based on 100% genuine guest reviews in our 2012 awards.

The Aysgarth Falls Hotel is situated in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park and set in five acres of grounds that sit above the famous Aysgarth Falls in the heart of Wensleydale. The hotel itself dates back to the mid eighteenth century with the pub section older still. The hotel has just reopened after undergoing an extensive refurbishment and now offers a pub, a variety of dining areas, 11 en suite rooms and outdoor terracing looking out over the pond and the hills beyond. Our aim is simple. To provide great beer, good food and company along with lovely, clean and comfy rooms, that’s what we’re about.

But more than that, you’ll be made to feel welcome from the moment you arrive… we like people and we think it shows!

The Aysgarth Falls Hotel is ideally placed for staying whilst exploring the Yorkshire Dales, and with Aysgarth Falls at the bottom of our land, you couldn’t be closer to one of the most stunning sights in the country.

Great Wensleydale Hotel
We booked 2 nights through late rooms at an average price of under £60 per night - great value. We had a slight issue with our original room but the owner moved us to an upgraded room which was fantastic. Also they'd had a problem with their chef so there were no evening meals, but it sounds like this will soon be sorted. Well worth trying.

A very good find
Stayed for our anniversary for three nights. Room was spacious, modern, clean and bright, would be better with more hanging space and a couple of bucket chairs. The food was very good and well presented, staff were very polite and helpful also the service was excellent. It was nice to have outside space to relax with a drink after being out all day. We would certainly go back to stay again when we revisit the area.

A memorable occasion
My wife and I stayed only one night at this hotel as part of a weekend's walking holiday to celebrate our Golden Wedding. We were thrilled to find a hotel with such a high specification (newly - and so tastefully - refurbished) with such good food and a lovely calm relaxing atmosphere. To find such a quiet restaurant with no piped music (we are both musicians) was for us wonderful and our meals were delicious. Many congratulations to the owners for such a magnificent job! This was one of the best country hotels we have ever stayed in and the location is also superb. Woderful!

A North Yorkshire Gem
Excellent location to explore the Yorkshire Dales - the stunning Aysgarth Falls are within easy walking distance.
Staff extremely friendly and Heather (the owner) was very warm and welcoming.
Accomodation is excellent - refurbished to a very high standard - we were in the smallest room and we were very comfortable. King size beds a welcome change!
Restuarant food was of a very high standard utilising locally sourced produce and the finest chocolate fondant i have ever tasted,
Enjoyed every minute of our stay and will definately re visit this hotel - thank you to everybody.
