Assaha Hyde Park apartments
Staff were so friendly and accomodating.
Will definitely book again. No stairs so not too good for people with mobility issues. Room very basic, student digs-esque but for the price it was acceptable. They allowed us to leave bags at the hotel to go exploring which was helpful too.
Excellent location, clean and tidy.
I was on the 4th floor (as most reviewers seem to be!) With no lift and dropped height ceiling in the room you really feel quite out of it up there. I'm 170cm tall but couldn't stand up in the shower and no door/curtain makes sure the place gets a soaking. The bed was comfortable and clean and towels and a single use shampoo and shower gel were left and we asked reception for a hair dryer to use. I would definitely stay again, it's 2 min walk from Lancaster Gate and quite quiet considering. I would hope not to be on the 4th again though as my ability to get out in an emergency did concern me .
Sadly get what you pay for
When I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted by a lovely lady who was pleasant and helpful, but sadly my check in took around 25 minutes, due to her dealing with phone calls and not dealing with the customer in her presence.
The impression you get from the lateroom website Conpared with what you are greeted with is truly shocking. The rooms looked nothing like those on the pictures, the carpet was dirty, then bin had not been emptied (this smelt vile), the shower was basic but was in dire need of repair and refurbishment. In all, room needed a complete revamp and was not worth the money I had paid.
Concert in Hyde park
Room was adequate for our 1 night stay.
Staff were very helpful, only drawback of are stay was our room was on the 4 floor and no lift. The apartment was only 5 minutes. From Hyde park were we we going to a concert. Would stay again.
Good, but not what you want....
Booked this property due to location for business event.
Room was acceptable for the price, especially in central London, a short walk from Mayfair. For note there is no lift, and some of the rooms are up 6 flights of stairs, but this is not a problem for me. Main issue was there was no hot water in the morning which after speaking to the Front desk, is not uncommon. No offer of recompense was made, which seeing as the main use of a hotel room for most business travelers is a Bed & a Shower, it was disappointing.
You get what you pay for
Exactly what it states in the heading, we were supposed to have booked a superior room.
I would hate to think what a basic room would have been. It was a run down room collapsible wooden chairs that belonged in a garden. When popping my handbag on the bed although clean the bedding had whashed in stains, the metal foot rail fell off. The room was dusty and plastic table cloth was heavenly stained.
Great location and access to tube and London Paddington.
Lots of great pubs and cafes nearby. Rooms basic but clean and comfortable. Pictures on late rooms are very generous. Some maintenance required. Probably wouldn't stay again.
One night only
I couldn't stay in this room for more than one night.
Even though I requested a room near the ground floor, I had a room at the very top on the fourth floor, and no lift. The room looks nothing like the photos, although mostly clean, there was damp patches in the bedroom, and an awful smell that wouldn't go away even with the windows open all day and night. I had a shower in the morning which was nice and hot, but when my daughter wanted one half an hour later there was no hot water. Although there was free wifi it didn't work in the bedroom. In the sitting area the sofa was stained, which put you off sitting on it. I would not of paid full price for this room, and glad I was only staying for one night as I couldn't of put up with the smell for more than than, Even though close to the train station I won't be staying here again.
Good room, excellent location
Our room near to Hyde park was good.
It was spacious and clean.
2 night stay at Assaha Hyde Park apartments
I was pleasantly surprised at the accommodation on arrival in view of the general cost in this area.
My room was on the fourth floor and there is no lift, which was no problem to me but might cause a problem to others. The room had a small kitchen area which was fully functional, with microwave, fridge, mini sink, kettle, but limited crockery/cutlery and no cloth or tea towel. This should have been cleaner but not bad enough to complain about. The en-suite shower room was small but clean and the shower worked fine. I booked as a single but my room was a double, adequate in size with lots of storage space. It might have been considered small if two were sharing. The location is good - a few minutes walking distance to the park and the Underground and also walking distance to Paddington station. All in all, comfortable and good value for money. I'd happily stay there again.
