Reviews - The Bothy at Manor Farm

Not Classified  Bed and Breakfast Ratings explained
Manor Farm, Sticklinch, West Pennard,, Glastonbury, BA6 8NA
The Bothy at Manor Farm, which comprises a detached studio for up to 3 people in the garden of our house in Sticklinch - a hamlet located between Pilton and West Pennard in rural Somerset - is an excellent base within easy reach of Glastonbury and Wells. The Bothy has its own entrance and parking and is a cosy bolt-hole for getting away from it all, alternatively an ideal 'lock-up & leave' base from which to explore the area.

This single-storey barn has recently been refurbished and equipped to provide comfortable accommodation which is smartly decorated and well lit. There is an open-plan area with a double bed, also a 'sleeping platform' (accessed by a ladder) with a 5' wide futon bed. Facilities for making light meals comprise a kettle, small fridge, toaster & microwave. There is a TV/DVD; also a shower room, with WC. Outside, guests have the use of garden. Amenities: Bed linen, towels, electricity & electric heating included. A ‘put me up bed’ can also be provided.

When the Glastonbury Festival is held we provide a comfortable venue for a limited number of festival goers, either accommodated in the Bothy, or in a range of luxury mobile accommodation in the lovely garden. We are a 10 minute (almost level) stroll from gate D.

The Bothy is available on a self-catering basis or with breakfast foods provided. Breakfast is continental and is taken in the Bothy itself. Local products are used as much as possible, which is made up of breads, jams, yoghurts, orange juice, etc

A two bed/4 person Cottage (adjoining the owner's property) will also be available to rent from May 2013.

100% happy customer
We found the Bothy just by chance only 2 days before we went,
Everything is as good if not better than described, The hosts Matthew and Bug were very nice and friendly giving us help and advise about the area and also providing us with everything that we needed but also left us to get on with our weekend, letting us know they were there if we needed them.
We would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a relaxing break in Glastonbury and the beautiful surrounding area.

The Bothy, idyllic for easy access to Glastonbury.
The Bothy was a perfect choice for easy access to Glastonbury. It is set in tranquil surroundings and very clean and comfortable, Lovely helpful friendly owners too. Good all round value for money, with the added bonus of two very good pubs nearby for evening meals.
The only drawback for us was the sleeping shelf, we found the ladder too steep and uncomfortable with bare feet. If the ladder were angled out more and the rungs closer together and flatter or rounded, then this would have been better. Someone more agile eg: a child or teenager would have no problem though. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would definitely go back and would recommend it.

Lovely little hide away!
A superb little find for the weekend. Booked last minute on LateRooms and couldn't be happier with the experience. The Bothy is a small but perfectly formed retreat with a super comfy bed and relaxing atmosphere. Situated down a country lane, it is tucked away making it private and very peaceful. The hosts have done an excellent job of providing everything you could need for your stay. A delicious and convenient self-catering breakfast, a microwave, tea and coffee facilities, TV, DVD (with some good DVDs provided) plates, cutlery, cups … everything you could need and we didn’t have to do the washing up!
It’s a great space to come back to after exploring the area and feel at home. It was warm, cosy, clean and convenient. Can’t wait to go back!
