Reviews - The Runnymede-on-Thames

4Visit England Assessed Hotel Ratings explained
Windsor Road , Egham, TW20 0AG
With a fabulous riverside location , “the-runnymede-on-thames” is easy to reach by road, rail or air with our handy location on the banks of the River Thames , close to Royal Windsor and near to the M25 and Heathrow. Huge windows for wonderful dramatic views of the Thames, open spaces, fresh contemporary interiors and furnishings plus fantastic food concepts, gorgeous guest rooms, many with views of the Thames, an award-winning spa, a buzzy family-run atmosphere and friendly service. There is so much to enjoy and do at “the-runnymede-on-thames” and it’s also perfect for relaxing or doing nothing at all! Just around the corner, you can have a whale of a time at one of the local attractions, wind back the clock at Windsor Castle or take a turn around local gardens and lakes. Our restaurants and spa are very popular so to avoid disappointment, please make dining reservations or book spa treatments before you arrive. Private boat hire is available from the hotel, please book with the hotel prior to arrival to avoid disappointment. The hotel is an entirely non smoking property. Leftbank closed Sunday evenings. The Lock Bar and Kitchen is closed Saturday lunchtime.
The spa is open from 0630 to 2200 Monday to Friday and 0700 to 2100 Saturday and Sunday. Child access times to the spa are as follows:- Monday to Sunday 0800-1200 and 1500-1900. All Children aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times (1 adult to 3 children). The children’s playground area is open from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. unless the weather is inclement. Our outdoor pool and toddler’s splash area is open to residents from late May to early September. For Health & Safety reasons please also note that the outdoor pool will not be open if the weather is inclement. Please note that once you have checked out of your room, regretfully as the health & fitness spa is a members and residents only club, the spa facilities will no longer be available to you, unless a late departure is agreed in writing by prior arrangement with the reservations team. However, you are more than welcome to continue to use all our restaurants and bar facilities. To check availability for extra beds & family rooms please contact Late Rooms.

Enjoyable
The Runnymede hotel was overall comfortable and clean
With the checking staff helpful and pleasant.
Room was lovely and exactly what we needed for a overnight
Stay.
There are 2 negatives 1st was waiting for drink at the bar was very uncomfortable
And we was confused as to order what from where as my wife wanted a latte which we got from
A different counter? And ended up in the resturant which was very
Disappointed and again confusing we wasn't told how it all
Worked or how much? And all I can say the deserts was fantastic.....
So would return to stay not to eat

Thank you all at Runnymede!
Excellent welcome. High quality river view room (complimentary upgrade); non-opening of Lock Bar & Kitchen restaurant handled earlier sympathetically & generously. Left Bank restaurant buffets for dinner & breakfast of a very high standard. Lovely walks to Runnymede along the river.
Superb pool & spa facilities. Ample car parking on-site. Excellent staff helped make our visit very special. Great atmosphere throughout the hotel. A very enjoyable stay!

quality hotel, great value with a deal
I got a late room at a really good price and it's still a great hotel. I have stayed there many times before in years gone by and it's always been good. Normal prices are crazy though!

A fine hotel with excellent ambience and facilities
The Runneymede has moulded itself into a fine hotel with excellent facilities and service. We stayed at a weekend and found the whole experience excellent - the Sunday breakfast is the best I've ever encountered in any hotel over a great many years. Top marks for attention to detail in decor and themes in Bars and restaurants. There is no room for improvement!

Exceptional customer service.
Absolutely first class customer service, nothing was ever too much. Hotel laid out roses on the bed at my request and served a 'Happy Anniversary' platter after our meal in The Lock, Bar and Kitchen despite not requesting that. A really fantastic touch. I would highly recommend the use of the HotTug as a completely unique, relaxing yet exciting experience, Would definitely stay here again.

Runnymede
On arrival staff very welcoming , room very clean but a bit on the small side . Great value for money when paid for through Laterooms as we saw how much a double room should have been and would never pay that price for a bed and breakfast .beautiful location .
