Unbelievably tiny room.
Couldn't dry myself after shower in the bathroom as had to straddle the toilet and even then arms were sticking to the shower curtain. Laying in bed out straight my feet banged on the wall the other side of the room.
Clean but basic
Very friendly reception.
Booking was handled efficiently. Room was clean and shower was pleasant. Shampoo / soap / towels all okay. Very small room, very sparse fittings (no furniture other than the bed). Hotel location close to Waterloo was exactly what we wanted. Checkout was trouble free.
This hotel might suite a young back packer, the rooms are very small ,rooms only cleaned every 2 or 3 days ,towels £2 each £4 for TV and it goes on breakfast is £5 50 voucher for Costa Coffee part of hotel Our room was so small with a very small toilet & shower you had to virtually sit on toilet with feet outside door or in shower that we said we were leaving next morning but will give credit to manageress who went out of her way to find us a better room after we turned 2 others down because they were no better she showed us one in a new back part of hotel so accepted for last our night but would I stay here again NO.
Tune Hotel - Westminster, London
If you are looking for a value for money place to stay this is the place for you.
I would advise you to bring a small travel kettle if you like an early cup of coffee, there is a machine, but I like a good cup through the night. The location is brilliant, all in all we enjoyed our stay in the capital for a couple of days.
Fantastic value for money
Couldn't rate this hotel higher in terms of value for money.
Central location, opposite a tube station but in walking distance of Big Ben and other central attractions. Modern and clean room with the essentials (all that is needed to test your head after a busy day in London). Would stay here again.
Chose this as it's Near st Thomas's hospital
My son was having an operation at st Thomas's hospital the next day so need to stay overnight the night before somewhere nearby.
This hotel is close and took us about 10 minutes to walk there. My son does walk quite slow though. The room was unbelievably tiny I've never seen one so small. The hotel and room was clean. You pay for location as this hotel is very basic. I paid £125 for one night on a general week night. I felt this is very expensive, however you are close to the london eye and all the attractions there. There is a costa coffee next door and a pub on the other side. There is a chicken/pizza take away opposite. And a coop 2 mins up the road. Lambeth north tube station is a few meters away. Ideal hotel if you just want to sleep there. I didn't spend much time there as my son would have been climbing the walls as it was so small. I was lucky the weather was good so we ventured out for the evening.
Short walk from Waterloo
Stayed one night and although the room was small (as previous reviews) it didn't matter as the room had nearly everything you needed.
Didn't realise it didn't have tea / coffee making facilities in the rooms but hotel next to coffee shop. Very close to a co-op and Tesco Express. Less than a 10 min walk to Waterloo station. Street noise was a little loud in room we stayed in so if possible request room on other side. Although strangely it was enjoyable watching the buzz of London life. Would book again.
Can't fault our stay
Tidy, clean, practical room that's perfect for those who just want somewhere to sleep.
Also, they provided flowers and chocolates for my girlfriend who was celebrating her birthday. Would definitely stay again!
Tune Hotel - Westminster, London
Bad waste of money.
Upon first thoughts I was a little apprehensive about the hotel merely by appearance and having read the reviews on LateRooms.com.
However, the staff are friendly enough and were willing to assist in any way they could. I was asked to check, as you would expect, at this stage I had realised that they have "grades" to the room, therefore I would suggest you ask for the comfort package which gives you access to the amenities in the room, such as Wi-fi, TV, even towels and hair dryer. Otherwise, you will have to pay a premium to have these at check in stage. Having got to the room, the first thing you would notice is the size. It's a shoe box, but you have to remember it has its own bathroom and a double bed. To be quite honest I felt a little shocked, however based on the price and indeed the prices around town this was fine. The way you have to look at this is a business trip and a place to merely rest your head, and that the place is clean - and credit due this room was clean and tidy. So in summary a great little place to stay that is a few minutes on the tube to get you into the heart of London and not to mention you could throw a stone through the window of Lambert South Tube Station, should you be feeling malice enough. Thanks again guys a nice stay.
