Genuinely could not fault
Really could not fault The Crooked Inn.
Lovely room and bed (we booked the four-poster), in an amazing setting. Great food, cracking bar, unfailingly pleasant and friendly staff. Oh, and ducklings.
Would I stay here again. We seriously contemplated taking the next week off work and not leaving.
We stayed for the valentines weekend deal.
We were met with a very warm welcome with complimentary champagne in the room. The food was excellent as well as the room.
Thank you for a very nice evening.
Lovely accommodation, Arrived about 11.30pm ready for our honeymoon night but realised in the morning that there was no coffee(only de-caf) or milk in the room.
Didn't know we had to go to the bar to collect it, and this we felt was not really acceptable. Everything else was lovely.
Not the best
Definately not worthy of any star rating.
Great Room with Modern Décor and tasty breakfast
This was a superb, friendly place to stay with excellent food and some very tasty local ales on hand-pump.
The room was large, very clean and well maintained, the windows could be easily opened and closed to adjust ventilation (always a plus point in my opinion), the curtains were heavy enough so as not to be woken by too much light early in the morning and the free wi-fi proved very useful . Staff were always helpful and the animals - two dogs, a cat, some ducks and geese - provided some delightful spontaneous entertainment adding pleasure to our stay. Would definitely recommend. As to location, it is perfectly sited just off the A38 - but not so close that you can hear traffic noise.
Great place to stay
I stayed here for one night with my partner as a little treat for his birthday and we weren't disappointed.
The Crooked Inn is a beautiful place with a lovely courtyard which is nice to sit in with a drink (weather permitting!). Our room was decorated well with plenty of space and we had a disabled ramp going into our room which made it easier for my partner who struggles with walking. The food in the restaurant was superb - so tasty. We were glad we booked a table for our evening meal as it became very busy, so I would recommend doing this if you stay. We loved seeing the ducks wandering around the courtyard too. All in all a lovely place to stay which I would recommend to anyone.
What a gem
Wish I'd found this accommodation years ago.
Easy to find, just off A38. after Tamar Bridge. Country pub in a quiet location with geese and ducks wondering around the courtyard. Lovely warm welcome, Good size room, Great food and range of beers on offer. One of the best breakfasts choices I can remember.
A little tired
Room could do with a paint.
Tea coffee supplied but no milk. Breakfast was fine but my omelet was over cooked. Pancake was served with two on one morning but one on Saturday. Servers were very helpful but over worked on Saturday when there were more visitors. Evening meals were not presented well and we had to ask for table to be cleared. A bath was requested but request not passed on to Hotel. They did change room to provide a bath.
