Excellent value for room but as usual the extras are not!
My 13 year old daughter and me were in London to see a rock gig at the SSE Wembley Arena, so I checked up on the hotels nearby so we could be as close as possible to the venue. The Hilton was not only four strides from the entrance, but the best value by far. I managed to get an Executive room for £90 and was not disappointed by the room at all. The bed was enormous and my daughter and I didn't come into contact with each other all night - in fact I wasn't sure if she was there at all at one point and found myself checking to make sure she hadn't gone sleep walking!!
I was a bit annoyed no brekkie was included and that if we wanted it, pre-booked would have been £12 each and on the day more. We declined! We did have some lunch, and the staff in the Icons bar were lovely. I think we were entitled to go into the Exec Bar but it was empty and shut... Room service wasn't quick when we ordered a late night meal post the gig, although the food was lovely.
For the money and location, I would recommend it for gigs etc at the SSE. Not the most romantic venue due to location and views at the back. Probably quite nice if you get a front facing room, overlooking the city though.

Extras rip off.....
Shame on the Hilton for charging £14 for in room wifi, on top of a £140 bill for the room. Movies at £11 plus incredible mark ups on the minibar make it a no way stay again for me. Theres much better value to be had. Their web presence is misleading suggesting in room wifi is available, its only wham you get there you realise the charges. As a consumer the only way to fight back is not to stay again and to tell you so that you stay elsewhere too.

One of best in the UK
Fab hotel - service, cleanliness, staff, room, food, comfy large bed, location! We upgraded to an executive room on the 8th floor and were so glad we did! The early evening complimentary drinks and 'nibbles' (didnt need a starter when we went out for dinner later!) were a fantastic touch! The only disappointment was that we were unable to use the outside rooftop bar due to a private function, which I guess happens a lot? All in all, one of the best hotels we've stayed in and would definitely come here again as a base for London break.
