No shower in bathroom and plug didn't fit sink
I was very disappointed to find no shower over the bath - I have never stayed in a hotel that didn't have a shower as standard in an en suite.
So when I went to use the sink to wash my hair and have a wash I discovered the original sink plug had been replaced - with one that didn't fit the plug hole. So the water kept draining out of the sink. It's just basic stuff - having a sink with a plug that fits the hole is pretty straightforward. It's a real shame because I've had good stays there before. Just don't book room 317.
A very pleasent weekend.
I'll come again.
Marine hotel ok no problems
The Hotel is a traditional coach holiday destination and is currently being modernised.
The air was filled with lavender and blue rinse brigade were there on mass. The hotel is in a great loaction to access the sea front and town centre facilities, with parking on the street in front of the hotel. Nice bar areas and traditional clean entertainment is also provided. The corridors are a bit tight and the floorboards sqeak, so if you are carrying a bit of timber you may need to walk carefully. My room had been modernised and was clean and tidy and included tea and coffee facilities, TV and lots of storage space.
Breakfast was manic as the coach was outside and the bags filled the halls while busy ladies consumed breakfast. Interesting that I was allocated a table for breakfast without saying what time I wanted to eat. The reception was also manic selling morning papers and I declined on the breakfast not being a morning person. I would stay again and would say that if you like the over 50s this is the place is for you.
everything ok except tiny bathroom - ok for someone small??
