Better than expected!
Really nice, clean room with nice bathroom.
Beautiful location by the harbourside, and great breakfast. Would stay again!
I could not fault this place if I tried.
We booked in on very short notice, the staff were brilliant, the room and breakfast was exceptional value for money. A really refreshing place to stay.
2 nights in Mousehole to relax and enjoy local life.
Have had holidays in the past here, but first time staying at the Ship Inn. Staff were very welcoming. We were in room 7 with views over the harbour. Room was clean and comfortable. I particularly liked the complimentary toiletries (Honey Cosmetics) The land lady was concerned that people in property opposite our room were painting outside of their house and up and down ladder. Everything in Mousehole is close together and we accepted this as part of the experience of living in such a quaint, compact community. Shame the housecleaning was a bit basic, tea and biscuits not replenished and bed not overly well made. Breakfast was good. Nothing too much trouble. I recommend the home made granola.
The Ship Inn was a wonderful find - Late rooms did us proud again.
Our room was clean and the bed was so comfortable I really did not want to get up the following morning. The food was excellent and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a bonus to our break - our room window overlooked the harbour and all the Christmas Lights were ablaze with colour. The people of Mousehole should be commended for all their efforts and community spirit. Definitely going again
One night in Mousehole
Beautiful Cornish fishing village & this Inn right on the harbor front.
Room was in adjacent cottage and was very clean with new decorations & furniture, although a bit small. I requested a harbor view but was given a room overlooking the rear yard. Hey ho. Be aware, I stayed in December & parking was very difficult. I would imagine it is a real problem in the summer months.
Was upgraded for the same price so delighted to have sea view.
Room clean but a bit dull.
The ship inn is full of character in a village full of character and mystery.
Inevitably, therefore, the accomodation does not equal that of more modern , purpose built accomodation. It is small and not as comfortable as a consequence but the service was very pleasant with a manager who took time with her customers.
Nice little room with a view
We stayed in room 2 facing the harbour.
Spotlessly clean and well presented but a tad small for the money - we appreciate we paid a premium for the sea view. The pub has retained its traditional fishing village charm and we've eaten here a few times. The fish and chips have always been superb. Breakfast was a delicious full English. Suggested improvements: the coffee at breakfast was poor and difficult to get a top up. My husband helped himself in the end. Why not provide small cafetieres at table. There was no marmalade.
Would have been good if the emailed re dinner as arrived to be told fully booked - should have emailed with an option.
also just to give guide lines re dropping off and parking. Room comfortable but basic. Enjoyed staying in this very special village.
Well appointed room with a seaside feel and decor, tastefully done
