Reviews - The Pelton Arms

4Self Classified Bed and Breakfast Ratings explained
23-25 Pelton Road Greenwich, London, SE10 9PQ
This charming five bedroom bed and breakfast is situated on the first floor above a traditional London pub in a residential part of historic Greenwich (a World Heritage Site).

The Pelton Arms appeared in Rock and Chips, the prequel to Only Fools and Horses, where it became the “Nag’s Head”, and still bears the signage. The Pelton Arms is a friendly local pub serving real ale and great British food. A relaxing garden and traditional pub games such as bar billiards and darts make this a lovely pub whatever the weather.

The property is a 10 minute walk from Maze Hill Mainline and DLR train stations with easy links to both the City and central London. Direct trains are available to London Bridge, Waterloo, Charing Cross, Cannon Street and Canary Wharf. Greenwich to London Bridge is a 10 minute journey.

The Pelton Arms is just a short walk from the centre of Greenwich. Local attractions include Greenwich Royal Park, the Royal Observatory, the Cutty Sark and the National Maritime Museum.

The bed & breakfast rooms were renovated in Spring 2014. There is a communal area with a sofa and facilities to make tea and coffee. Eclectic decor is provided in keeping with the traditional ambience. There is one communal shower room with toiletries provided and two separate toilets fitted to a high specification.

Please note that every Friday night and Saturday night we have live music from 9pm-11pm so it will be noisy on band nights. We also have a late licence on these nights.

The well proportioned rooms are traditional in design with carefully chosen furniture and accessories. The five bedrooms are made up of one family room, one kingsize bedroom and three double bedrooms.

A traditional full English Breakfast is included in the price of the bed & breakfast and this is served in the main area of the pub.

This accommodation is ideal for business executives or people visiting the O2. There are several excellent restaurants within walking distance. Free Wi-Fi is provided.

Typical lovely back street boozer
Great location for walking along the Thames, getting trains etc to travel up west. Plenty to do and see and other good pubs nearby. Pelton Arms - very friendly staff with lots of local knowledge. Breakfasts excellent with choice of whatever you fancy - could have done without the cleaning lady getting up close to my grub with the hoover, mop and bucket, but she was only doing her best!
Definitely recommendable, good music and evening events too.

nice place
Very pleasant place to stay, staff very friendly., if you need anything just ask and they will be pleased to help. Breakfast especially full english is very good. The pub itself is excellent with much choice of real ales.We stopped here as it was an ideal place for us as we were going to the tennis at the O2. It was only a 20min walk to the O2. Also, very easy to get the boats on the river thames to take you to most sites along the river, 15 min walk to this point where the Cutty Sark lives. All in all an enjoyable experience.

Old Fashioned but homely local Pub
A lovely atmosphere if you like an old fashion type pub. Had a very interesting range of beers. Room was very basic but clean. Breakfast was good. We were visiting the 02 and found it just within walking distance and the station was nearby to get yourself into the city.

Good place to stay
Not that convenient for the tube, but it's only £7 in a cab and great for Excel or Canary Wharf.
Great rooms, clean but a shame you don;t get your own bathroom.

Stayed here a couple of times and always made welcome. It is a good place to stay if going to the O2 and they also do a great English breakfast which is included in the price.
