Lazy attitude
As soon as we arrived we were made to feel akward and the receptionist was very rude and just did not seem to bothered about tryin to check us in. She would sing over us as we were trying to talk , chew gum very loudly and made us feel out of place . Then her and another employee had a full on conversation while we were stood there and she even called a few friends before finishing checking us in .

A necessary need
I understood the nature of the accommodation, people were mainly friendly, but themselves to themselves. Mixed accommodation makes a change, prefer to have women around me than just men, more natural.

Venture Hostel, Greenwich (single traveller, female)
very near Tescos so could buy food and cook it in their kitchen downstairs at back of the pub (although kitchen very narrow) and eat it downstairs in the pub. Room very small that I stayed in but adequate enough and the locker was large and bunk bed comfortable with nice fresh smelling sheets, pillow and duvet. Showers and wash area was very good and very clean. Hostel owner/workers were very helpful and friendly, also very attentive to ensure nobody got too drunk (as owner 'had a quiet word' with someone outside the door, who had seemed a bit tipsy! (nipped in bud very quickly and the offendor was quite happy when he came back in :-))

First impression counts and it is true in this case. The staff at night and in the day light hour were professional, very polite, very thoughtful security was very good. Environment and the customers were comfortable and I experienced a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Enjoyed my stay there and hence would recommend them to friends and family.

Strongly discourage anyone from visiting this place
Booked three single rooms. When we arrived, we found a tiny hole stinking from bleach and they told they don't have single rooms, only large dormitories. I showed the receptionist the printed reservation which said "single rooms", then he pointed out that it says "in a dormitory" with tiny letters. This little trick, along with the strong stench of heavy detergents hinted that it's not really a place for civilized people. We stayed in a three star normal hotel for only a little bit more than they would've charged. Avoid this place!!

Good place for sleeping
Small room but clean. Very small shower but clean and no queues. Good infrastructure -2train station stops in a 5 minutes walk. Too simple breakfast - better than nothing.
