a night back in the toon
Overall the stay was adequate not luxurious but VFM.
One negative was no teaspoon to have a cuppa in the room.
Nice hotel, great deal, bit noisey!
As it says in the title, nice enough room, lovely restaurant down stairs, fantastic deal but only draw back for me is upon arrival I found out it is above a nightclub and as expected was wakened until 4am with the music/bass ringing through the hotel...
Not ideal for a relaxing/romantic night away with the wife but would consider for a lads night away.
Great value for money anyway!
First impression of the room was excellent, but was spoilt by broken window blind, which was also dusty.
We had never been here before & didn't really know Dunfermline centre geography so had great trouble finding it. The only close parking was a lay-by opposite the place which was full, so we parked 10 minutes away at Pittencrieff Park for free. Night somewhat disturbed by a, a noisy fan somewhere outside and also for my husband by a permanent rumple in the mattress cover.
We stayed here on a Saturday night having been out in the town.
It's location is perfect for literally falling into bed with no need for taxis. The rooms were modern, clean and perfect for what we required it for. It was a tad noisy due to an air conditioning unit being right outside the window. It was an added bonus that breakfast was included, the only downfall was that there was one waitress and one chef on duty and with quite a few guests in for breakfast they were ran off their feet. It took a while to get served, get drinks or ask for any condiments. This won't put us off coming back. We have family & friends in Dunfermline and this is the perfect solution for us.
This is third time staying at this hotel and have always found that nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
Food at breakfast is excellent and portions very generous. The only slight downside is the noise from Harlem club on Friday and Saturday nights.
We had a twin room which was of a reasonable size and it was very clean and comfortable. Had all the requirements and tea and biscuits . The staff were friendly and helpful Nd the restaurant had character and good food. Breakfast has all the elements and the cooked variety is good and free range eggs. The car park is very convenient and close to hand and the hotel does have a couple of free spaces if you are lucky
Very noisy outside window late at night,no heating in the room,no sky tv as advertised
Clean & Comfortable..............
Staff very friendly & accommodating on arrival.
Hotel room clean & comfortable only disappointment was lighting in the bedroom not particularly bright especially for a women trying to do their makeup!!. Hotel ideal location for Pittencrieff Park 10 minute walk to the Pavilion . Only other thing we had to comment on was our breakfast good selection, but the omelettes mmm!!. Not to sure about how they were cooked. Husbands breakfast looked better.
Enjoyed our stay though...........
Hotel was in a great central location, very clean and exactly what we were looking for.
No on-site parking though and had to pay for a public carpark at the back of the hotel, don't recall the lack of parking mentioned in the details of the hotel but maybe I just didn't see it. Room was lovely and clean and ideal for just one night. Hotel was right next to a nightclub but fortunately we couldn't hear any noise (it was a Saturday night so could've been very noisy).
Great place for short break
Thoroughly enjoyed stay.
Room extremely clean, comfortable and relaxing. Staff helpful
Breakfast tasty and plentiful
Definetly will be back
