Little value for money.
Booked this hotel for partners birthday after some shopping in the city.
Previously stayed in another hotel in Westminster bridge which was much better value and hotel. This hotel was a let down as soon as I got in to the room. I went by the reviews on here to assure me but was very disappointed will not be booking again. I booked a king room. It was 2 singles close together which I thought was very cheap. Furniture in room was very cheap also you have to authorise an extra £50 on top of the price, which I thought wasn't necessary. The woman was very rude when I checked out and informed her the room was dirty and dusty. Would recommend one of the other hotels instead of this. Also location is awful. how can people say on here location is good with only offices surrounding. The best thing about this hotel was the free cookie when checking in. Hardly free as I paid an expense for a bog standard room.
reasonably priced hotel in a good location, made to feel welcome, clean modern rooms and a very good breakfast my 2nd time here and I would stay here again for sure.
GOOD VALUE COMPARED TO OTHER LONDON HOTELS
I took my teenage daughter to London for a few days and we paid £257 for both of us for 2 nights which also included breakfast.
There was a lot of building work going on next door to the hotel but this didn't have any effect on the quality of our stay. The disappointment for me was the view from our room. We had a huge office block practically right outside our window so we could not open our curtains at any time without being spied upon by hundreds of office workers. The grouting around the sink needed some attention but overall it was clean. Bed comfy with climate control in the bedroom. I-mac computer to use and the mini fridge was handy. Staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was delicious, catering for every taste. The hotel was about a 5-7 minute walk to the Houses of Parliament. I would recommend this hotel for many reasons but if you're after a room with a view, this isn't it.
Very Nice Hotel.
I booked this hotel as I wanted one in or very close to Victoria, this was NOT.
It was advertised as .8ml from Victoria station. Looking on the directions from the hotel we realised we had to go to Pimlico instead, fortunately our tickets were accepted for this station. It was quite a walk from the Pimlico station and I am sure there was probably a short cut which we did not know about. It was a gorgeous day so the walk was quite pleasant, past the Tate Gallery and there were lots of green areas. However my age group do not want to walk this far after travelling for 4 hours on a train. Had we realised how far it was and the true distance we would have got a taxi or bus.
I had phoned the hotel the night before saying that we would be arriving earlier than the check in time of 3pm if the room was not ready could we leave our luggage. This was perfectly acceptable. When we arrived our room was ready and we checked in and were given a very nice chocolate cookie to have with a cuppa. We went to our room 728 which was lovely. Twin beds as requested, very clean and well presented. The view was building construction, but strangely enough it was quite interesting to see the men moving around so freely so high up. Noise did not affect us at all. The bathroom was adequate with a good power shower. A apple Mac computer instead of a television was a bit weird but we didn't turn it on so don't know how good it was.
Check out was very ease following a very nice full English breakfast. I had cut my arm before leaving home and the dressing was soaked in the shower and looked a bit of a mess, I asked if I could have a plaster and immediately was bought a first aid kit and asked if I could manage or did I want help. Very good gesture. All in all a good stay, just a pity it was not in the location we asked for, however we stay there again, knowing the route now.
I was very disappointed with our room we was meet to have views of the city all we had was a building site in front of us.
The room was not worth the money. So sorry to say but was very clean
Great hotel for weekend London break
Stayed in many hotels but found this hotel difficult to fault.
Very enjoyable stay. Great location. Nice room. Courteous and friendly staff.
Hotel was ideal for access to the River Thames and all attractions, staff were friendly, room was comfy, building work going on around hotel but no noise disturbance, thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Lovely staff welcomed us to the hotel.
We were very lucky in having an upgrade to a suite which had an extra room to the one we had originally booked. It was modern, spacious and added luxury to our trip away. It was a lovely surprise to our stay. Clean. Friendly. Good value. Will definitely return.
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel London - Westminster
The hotel was superb , my daughter was very impressed with the free wifi and the service in the hotel was brilliant.
We had no noise at all around us even though there was work going on outside. The staff were all attentive and looked after us well. The breakfast was great. We will definitely be back!. and would recommend it to anyone xx
Excellent hotel.....shame about the building sites around it
Beautiful hotel once inside......great room...courteous staff....excellent breakfast.....but looking out upon a building site so slightly spoiled the stay....only slightly London is superb
