Reasonably priced place close to city center
We had a very nice and pleasant stay at this hotel. Breakfast was very nice and surprisingly not costly if you book in advance. Staff was helpful and informative.
Advantages - proximity to train station and city center.
Disadvantage - not many places to eat nearby

Outstanding service & stay - particularly given the price
Great service from the moment we arrived at the hotel, very friendly and helpful reception staff and the room itself was not only clean but had everything we needed. Nicely furnished, great value for money.

A lovely hotel
This is a really nice hotel very close to the centre of Bristol, just 5 mins walk from Temple Meads train station. The whole hotel feels new and modern. The room was really nice, lovely simple decor, not that big, but adequate for us, with a really nice comfy (fairly firm) bed and selection of pillows. The Apple mac pc/tv is a nice touch, with free internet. Plenty of channels too, including Sky Sports. Tea & coffee facilities in room, as well as loads of freebies like toiletries, sewing kit, vanity kit etc...! We arrived at about 12.30pm expecting to have to leave bags & come back later to check into our room, but we were given the key straight away, which was a nice surprise. We didn't eat here so can't comment on that, however drinks at the bar were rather overpriced, even compared to other hotels. Location is perfect, right next to a little park which you walk through to get into town. Staff were friendly & helpful. Superb value, given that we got it for £53 for a Saturday night! We stayed a while back when it was the Mint hotel: standard is as good if not better. Would definitely stay again for that low price. Very enjoyable stay all in all.

Highly recommended
We were extremely impressed by the quality and specification of the room. Although we drove on this occasion, being so close to Templemeads and the city centre we would certainly consider travelling by train and using the hotel again.
