Reviews - The Hussar Hotel

4Self Classified Hotel Ratings explained
219 Canterbury Rd, , , Margate, CT9 5JP
Ideally situated on the outskirts of Margate we are only a short walk from several blue flag beaches. Whether you are looking for a hotel in Broadstairs, a hotel in Ramsgate or a hotel in Westgate the Hussar is an ideal place to stay. The pretty town of Broadstairs is only a 10 minute drive as is the trendy harbour of Ramsgate. Margate has some beautiful coastlines and the much anticipated Turner Centre is due to open soon. With the busy city of Canterbury only 25 minutes away a short break in Margate has something to offer everyone. Our public house is very friendly and welcomes children and families. Our kitchen produces a range of delicious home cooked snacks and meals and we are very proud of our fine selection of drinks, so whether you’re visiting friends and family or your trip is purely business you will very much enjoy your stay at the Hussar. Probably the best bed and breakfast in Margate. Check In After 10pm is strictly by Appointment Only Opening Hours Mon - Sun 11am – 11pm Kitchen Open Mon - Sat 12 – 2.30 Sun 12 – 3

Excellent budget accomodation
I chose to stay at The Hussar for a brief break to Margate and was delighted. Very nice, clean, comfortable and friendly. Highly recommended.

Nice friendly pub with rooms
Our room and bathroom were of a very good standard, recently refurbished. Although called the Hussar Hotel, the Hussar is primarily a pub with B&B. At first I was a bit disappointed to find a nice restaurant area but no evening meals. However, they are quite happy for you to eat takeaway food at the tables in the restaurant area, and there are Chinese, Indian, and Fish & Chips available within a short walk. This certainly makes for a cheap dinner bill!
Breakfast was great, although could do with a bigger selection of cold items.
Margate beach is about 5 mins drive away. There is also a bus service.

An excellent stay
Everything you could want from a hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, modern comfortable room and, good food. A bit far from the beaches if you're going for a seaside break, although there's not a lot of good hotels around Margate, but this is one of them

Good basic accomodation and tasty breakfast
We stayed here for one night after a wedding. We found staff to be friendly and helpful and the breakfast to be very good. The beds were comfy and the room was clean. We had a peaceful night (apart from a car alarm which kept going off somewhere outside!). The hotel is within easy walking distance of the station too which is handy.
