Just one small comment - as we are both in our 80's we found the shower tray too high and slippy to use and also no safe bath mat was provided. Except for this we enjoyed our stay 100 per cent and as a result stayed on our return from the lake district. On this occasion our daughter booked a disabled room for us as we would have preferred a twin room. Again everything was to our satisfaction.

A good all-rounder
In pleasant surroundings. Excellent room rate - menu a tad limited, yet the evening meal and breakfast were prepared to a very high standard. Friendly, helpful staff - I had problems with booking a cab in the middle of the school run and they fixed it.
Minor niggle: air conditioning or cooling plant outside was fairly close to the room and ran all night.

A bit of country near the big city
A nice location handy for the M42 and within easy reach of Birmingham. The outlook from the grounds or the nearby viewpoint is worth seeing. Friendly, helpful staff, a nice large comfy room.
