The room was nice but next to a cleaners cupboard who thought it would be great to make a noise at 7.00am on a Sunday morning, the shower was a joke the water flow was really slow and too close to the wall so you couldn't get underneath properly.
The toilet didn't flush properly but the sink flow was really fast.
Would definitely stay here again
A great find for me.
Value for money room (a good price for a small single + breakfast) but brilliantly designed and furnished to make best use of available space with a TV, chair and small desk. (Lounge space is available in the bar.) Everything was clean and recently refurbished (except, curiously, for the skirting and doorframe paintwork!). The ensuite shower room was stylish and a good size. The staff I met were welcoming, efficient and articulate. A lovely cooked breakfast. (I didn't have dinner.) There is plenty of parking.
A little gem - no frills, clean and friendly staff
it was a nice room
The hotel itself was great and couldn't do enough for you but the room was so cold on the evening.
I think it should be made clear to guests that this is in fact a Teacher Conference Centre with groups of teachers staying.
it was all fine, but very much Formica tables and school like (it was originally a boarding school), certainly not a hotel as such. The staff were very friendly and the bar food was ok but not exciting, the room fine and quiet.
Very good accommodation very helpful staff , very clean and nice beds ,and you can't miss the breakfast 5***** sets up for the day .
Very comfortable, friendly staff, easy buffet breakfast, conveniently in range of the centre of Bitmingham.
Small, slightly Spartan room but ideal for a lone traveller working to budget and not needing room space in which to work.
weekend stay in March 2015
Quiet location near to the Lickey Hills.
Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Location but little else
Stayed here on work when other options would have more hassle with transport, and was very convenient on that front, but the room was one of the smallest in which I've ever stayed, the motion-activated light in the bathroom didn't seem to be activated when in the shower, and the single-glazed window introduced a real heat sink to the room.
Staff were friendly when I asked them about using an iron, the bar staff were efficient and the stay was pretty cheap, but it would be difficult for them to resolve any of the three issues in a short space of time!
Business in Birmingham
In the light of travel purpose the location of the hotel wasa just perfect.
As the work place was only 2 miles away this site offered good response for the money spent.
