A very welcome change!!
A very welcome change from all the souless, expensive, boring chain hotels that my nightly allowance stretches to in the London area at the height of the tourist season! Friendly welcome, nicely furnished room, quiet (no noise from pub below!), great breakfast, good dinner, good value all round! Limited parking but plenty of unrestricted street parking!

A great location within easy reach of both London and the Kent/Sussex countryside.
The accommodation at the Crown in Chislehurst was excellent and ideal for a short break. The room was spacious, well-furnished and spotlessly clean with a pleasant view across the common. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent with the luxury of a wide choice of cooked options other than the standard fare. Chislehurst Station is about 10 minutes walk away, which provides easy access (about 20 minutes) to London Bridge and all the capital has to offer.

Didnt look good on the outside but room was amazing
When you first get to the hotel and are faced by an unruly mob of drinkers can be quite daunting but still once your in the staff were all friendly and showed us to our room after taking payment upfront. entered to an amazing room, for the price you got alot ! beds were very hard could put out softer pillows out but slept very well indeed. Excellent service in the morning very pleasent woman servicing in the morning. Would stay again if ever back in the area of course, i still think they should convert part of the Pub into a hotel lobby just for show so you dont feel part of the action when you walk in the Pub to find out what to do.
