Radisson Blu Hotel East Midlands Airport
Is is better than other airport hotels
Excellent decor, modern yet cosy in rooms.
Everything in the bathroom is functional - right down the the shower and tap controls which are in an easily accessible place rather than behind a rigid shower screen. My only niggle was that the cleaner hoovered the room next door at 8.30am...I was already getting dressed but most people wouldn't have been I'm sure.
Try as I might, I could not find a single fault - outstanding!
Fabulous service of the highest calibre.
Quirky rooms but which definitely have the wow factor. Delicious food. Gym and pool looked super but alas no time to try. Would be delighted to stay again and have no hesitation recommending it to anyone.
Lovely rooms with lovely wooden floors
Lovely wooden floors unless the woman staying in the room above is wearing high heels.
Annoyingly she came back to the room about 1.30 a.m. and then walked across the floor in said high heels for about an hour. How can someone walk so far across an hotel room for so long. She was up again at 5.30 a.m. in said heels pacing up and down, up and down...
Stayed for one night of Download festival and the hotel had made excellent preparations to facilitate out of hours check in and transport to and back from site.
They even had plastic overshoes at the door. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast excellent. Everything my son and I needed, although at quite a steep price for overnight B&b only.
I stay in lots of hotels for business and leisure.
This 1 night stay was perfect. Lovely room, great breakfast and a good swimming pool. We enjoyed watching the planes take off and land - in silence from our hotel room windows.
Me and my husband and our 1 year old had a brilliant stay.
We stay here to watch the racing at donnington park which is a 5 mins drive from the hotel.. The room was lovely, Our son still had room to play on the floor as the rooms are big. The bed was massive and comfy we didn't hear a noise all night and a brilliant view of the airport seeing the planes take off. Tv had a good variety of channels..dinner was yummy and a lovely coffee machine in the room aswell as bath robes and drinks. The rooms were modern, the deco in the hotel is brilliant and the little details are great. Staff was polite and helpful especially towards the baby. Breakfast was delicious. We honestly would rate this hotel 5* and would defo stay again anytime here or at one of the other hotels they have. The only 1 bad point we could say if we had too was the wifi and signal wasn't very good in the room we was in but apart from that it's was brilliant
upon arrival we was upgraded to a junior suite.
would stay again.
Stayed at this hotel with my partner for 1 night, have to say the hotel was absolutely amazing from the moment you walk through the doors and to your room.
Reception was very swift - I booked business class room in the quiet area of the hotel and again amazed at how quiet it was as we were looking out onto part of the runway. Overall would stay at this hotel again but would upgrade to a suite - also booked a table at the restaurant which was fab, breakfast was great as we opted for room service.
