Reviews - The Old Coach House

4Self Classified Guest House Ratings explained
2 Stable Cottage, North Stainley, Ripon, HG4 3HT
The Old Coach House is an accommodation jewel and one of Yorkshire’s best kept secrets. The 18th century coaching house stands proud in the grounds of North Stainley Hall in the picturesque village of North Stainley, just north of Ripon.
This five star/silver award luxury guesthouse is nestled between The Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors National Park and is a great location to explore these beautiful areas of outstanding natural beauty as well as The Yorkshire Wolds, Nidderdale, Harrogate and York.
The area is steeped in history with the historic city of Ripon nearby as well as countryside walks, attractions, plentiful restaurants and country pubs.

All eight rooms are en-suite and designed with modern living in mind. Each room offers a range of contemporary high quality fittings and facilities and with Oak beams in some of the guest rooms this high quality bed and breakfast really gives that feeling of staying in a rustic, character property.

Thoroughly enjoyed stay
I booked a night here for the in-laws after visiting the Yorkshire show. They thoroughly enjoyed their stay and said they would definitely return, hopefully soon! Father-in-law is a coeliac and this was catered for no problem. They are keen gardeners and were very impressed with the gardens.

Charming coach house offered in a beautiful location with a passionate team of staff.
An idyllic retreat most situated to those wanting a quiet get-away or a romantic break. A beautiful setting with well appointed rooms and luxury on a small scale which makes this accommodation real value for money. A small team that work well together and go out of their way to ensure that you are well looked after and enjoy your stay. Great personal service and a breakfast which offers excellent choice and caters for all. One note of caution, everything is fresh and made to order. Don't come down at last push up as one couple did whilst we were there, order smoked salmon and then become suddenly outraged when their main breakfast had not been put in front of them within 10 minutes!!

Quality find
So pleased to have discovered The Old Coach house, Staff so helpful and friendly, very comfortable room with lots of little added extras, a lot of thought had obviously gone in to making everyone welcome and comfortable. Lovely breakfast, everyone catered for, nothing too much trouble.

Definately recommend a stay here
Attention to service and attention to detail are very apparent. Definately a wonderful hotel to visit. Rooms were very nice and immaculately presented. The quality of furnishings and food at breakfast was high. Even the pub across the road was welcoming and friendly. You will not be dissapointed if you visit this hotel.
