Norfolk Arms Hotel
Slow wait for breakfast buffet, breakfast would be better in peak times.
First room bathroom floor water leak the room could have been checked before we arrive, I had to report the leak then change the room's.
Generous and welcoming reception
Stayed for one night on Monday and arrived about 7pm.
Staff present when parking in area behind hotel and directed us. Quick and efficient reception and a bit of a trudge up to the 2nd floor where we found our room and were delighted.Room had been renovated but original stone windows and lovely swishy curtains set the scene for wonderful views of the town and beyond. Breakfast- mine was veggie with 'leek and potato' sausages served in a bustling dining room. Lots of buffet items to choose and a choice of fish/full English or veg or whatever combination you asked for. We will stay again.

The hotel is in urgent need of refurbishment.
However, if you can look beyond the ancient mismatched furniture and the peeling wallpaper the hotel provides excellent value for money and one of the most comfortable beds we've ever stayed in.
Cold restaurant and food
Very disappointed with the restaurant and food
The hotel is lovely, old and has seen better days BUT they were in the process of improving it while we were there.
Room lovely. Warm and clean. Food less exciting. But value for money
Very run down. Far too expensive for what it was
The fire alarm went off for 2 minutes in the early hours of the morning on both nights we stayed.
The staff did not seem bothered
Our 3 day break
We were not told at time of booking that the hotel was undergoing a refurbishment, there were workmen all over the place and the car park looked like a building site taking up valuable car parking spaces.
We were given a room on the top floor which for our age there were too many stairs, we were not offered a room on a lower floor. Our room was very comfortable and bright (not sure if it had been refurbished) if it had the finish was not of a high standard and needs to be looked at, especially the bathroom.
Norfolk Arms Hotel
Good value for money.
All staff really helpful & friendly
two nights stay
everything was fine would stay again, the only draw back was the carpark, no disable spaces for my husband, last night parking issue, but the receptionist sorted us out.
Please with my stay
