Great hotel
Hotel was very nice but when booking the views shown are great but its situated in a place where alot of development is happening so surrounded by building sites with work happening which you can hear through the night on some days, apart from the surroundings and the wifi in the room being unreliable everything was great.

First the positives. The hotel is situated close to the Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa (10 minute walk if you feel inclined). Room and facilities were quite good, clean and comfortable.
Negatives. The first priority of the receptionist appeared to be to get us to upgrade our room only booking to a business class room and a breakfast package. Because of a very early departure to get a 07.40 flight we were unable to get any form of breakfast on our third and final morning, yet had to pay for it. The buffet style breakfast was extensive and good quality.
The evening meal was also a buffet. You could opt for a main course only which we did and on the first night were very happy with the provided fayre. On our final night we planned to repeat the process going at 7.30 pm for our meal which was available until 10.30pm. The hot dishes were kept hot in heated tureens but sadly theproduct on offer were very dried up and overcooked. Goodness only knows what they would have been like later in the evening. I complained about the quality of the food on offer to a waitress and the chef came outto meet us. He agreed that the dishes were dried up and burnt. He offered to cook us something fresh but we declined and were not charged for the meal. It rather spoilt the final night of our holiday. We got the impression that getting as much money as possible out of the client was a priority. Only suitable for a short stay and alcoholic drinks very expensive.

Non smoking room?
The smelt of stale cigarettes and there was a cigarette burn on the carpet in this no smoking business class room.
The most uncomfortable sun loungers we've ever sat on, two hard ridges across the back, why no mattresses provided to counter?
Easy walk to Dubai mall, good location.
Friendly service.
Good view of the berg.
Windows dirty on outside.
