Worst hotel I have ever stayed at
The room I stayed in was disgusting and I didn't sleep a wink.
The radiator was completely brown, there were bugs in the shower, paint coming off the walls, broken tv, writing on the walls, mould + rust everywhere, a bad smell and a bed that was so uncomfortable it gave me a bad back the next day. Hotels like this should not even be running. I would never have stayed here unless it was a last resort however it was too late at night to find another one. It wasn't even worth the mere £20 I paid for the single room. Awful.
Arrived at hotel which looked a bit run down, and after initial language problems I was told problems with rooms, and sent to another hotel about a mile or so further along Road.
This seemed a much better place tbh. No problems with booking in everything seemed to have been taken care of. So the review is more about the norfolk hotel rather than smithys.
Poor but cheap. You get what you pay for I guess
Poor but cheap.
You get what you pay for I guess, I paid £24, just about everything was pretty poor.
Everything was satisfactory
Moved to different hotel
Moved to a different hotel upon check in Free parking, freeview tv..
Hot water took a while, average stay
They always have a "problem with the room," and they always redirect to the Norfolk Hotel, providing that it is a hotel with a better standard.
In Norkfolk Hotel, you have to ask for the wifi's password EVERY DAY !. They can not provide you with a list of passwords, but every day you have to ask them about it. Note that there is no internal phone to contact reception. In the 21st century!
I booked into this hotel, when i got there, I was told the hotel has booked me into another hotel , which was nearby, but not what i expected.
Did not stay at smithys hotel
I was directed to another hotel (the Norfolk hotel) on arrival at smithys.
The Norfolk is a lovely hotel and ideal for what i wanted. Good clean rooms at a fantastic price. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay ( the Norfolk hotel)
Really awful place.
Outside the place it looks terrible and you walk into the reception and it's worse. I was relieved that when I walked in the manager told me that I would be transferred to a neighbour hotel (this is without me asking). Needs a lot of work but the manager is obviously aware and was extremely honest.
