useful base with pool
have stayed here before so knew what we were getting.
Family room reasonable size and pool available for kids ( but note children access limited 10-12,4-7PM). all the service you'd expect from a four star golf and leisure hotel and in a very handy location, as we were going to use it as a base for Cadbury World but instead chose Black Country Living Museum, Stratford and a glorious walk over in Abberley. Only disappointment was how they 'cook' the sausages / black pudding. Ironic that the black pudding looked anemic.
A great hotel, really clean and comfortable.
There was a really good selection at the buffet style breakfast. So after an admirable 15 lengths in the pool, I'm afraid Mr W took it upon himself to taste everything in the buffet - apologies for all the crumbs, juice and tea stains. We would definitely stay again...if we are allowed back. Very highly recommended.
2 night stay
The staff were very polite and friendly and the entire hotel well furnished and very clean. We included breakfast with our room and it was very good. We also chose to eat in the Restuarant for one night and the food was superb.
I would highly recommend staying in this hotel.
Our room was very dated and in need of an update, nothing like the pictures on the website, and the curtains at the bottom were threadbare.
The bed was right rock hard and very uncomfortable. Unfortunately someone rang our phone in the room at 4am waking us all up, when I answered no one was there. I reported this to reception in the morning but there was no explanation. The pool was lovely and in spite of the above we enjoyed our stay, as service was good and breakfast lovely.
Good base for a short stay
We stayed again for two nights, having previously stayed for just one.
Everything was as we had expected from last time- big spacious room with comfortable beds. The bathroom could have done with a more thorough clean, but nothing to stop us coming back again. The pool, jacuzzi snd steam room are lovely and being able to use them for free whilst guests at the hotel is a bonus. The only time convenient for us to swim appeared to be during the children's swim hours, which wasn't an issue, but it would be nice to have a small lane of the pool sectioned off as people were trying to swim lengths- unsuccessfully due to the amount of children and their families.
The breakfast was once again amazing and worth every penny, if we're in the area again I'd definitely consider staying again.
The hotel restaurant and bar was closed when we arrived, we were not told about this before hand and we didn't feel like looking for another hotel that late at night.
The sports bar in the leisure club was open but was uncomfortable and not what we had in mind for a romantic break. This really did spoil our break away.
This was a surprise for my husband.
We have a wonderful night away. The service was excellent along with the food.
We had a relaxing break in the spa too.
What a lovely stay, we stayed on a Fri and Sat night, it was pure luxury!.
Reviewers were moaning about not looking out over the golf course, which I'm sure is lovely, my room faced out towards the car park, and to be honest I don't spend all day looking out the window so it didn't bother me. The room was perfect, warm, peaceful and clean. Our room was made up perfectly on the saturday morning, and all tea/coffe/toilet roll replenished. The staff were friendly and polite. The area around is lovely and warwick castle is worth a visit as is Strafford upon Avon.
