This hotel needs serious hotel interior update, from the furniture to the tvs.
Bathroom grout needs good scrub. When your staying away- u expect home from home..
Also rooms could do with air conditioning and the noise was seeious throughout the night...
the door to our room was unsafe it needs to be repaired
we were staying in the hotel for one night but would have loved to stay more.
The rooms were lovely and clean, warm, comfortable and tidy. The bed was very comfortable and even though there was a big event on in the function room we didn't hear a sound.
will def recommend to others.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only downside was - we were guests at the event in the function room (over 500 people) the staff were very good and efficient but they were a little too eager to clear the plates - my husband was waiting on one waitress to bring more bread for the soup, still had soup in his bowl, put his spoon down to take a drink and continue a conversation with others at our table ....... and another waitress grabbed the bread plate to start clearing!!!!. (I took it back and told her he wasn't finished!) - general rule of good service is don't clear a table until all seated at the table are finished eating and have put their cutlery down. - this was the only drawback - I think they were under pressure as the meal was running a bit late - but good service is not that difficult - ALL other aspects of the meal - food, staff etc were excellent.
We went to see a show as part of a Country Music week.
Travelling independently, not part of a group. Entertainment was very good, the food at the Gala dinner was unimaginative and disappointing. Breakfast was well cooked, but always a "Bun fight" with the numerous coach parties. I had to ask for coffee twice one morning. Easy to get over looked as an independent traveller. Staff friendly. Good location.
