100% would recommend it to a friend
My single room was small but comfortable and very attractively laid out.
The owners were welcoming and pleasant to chat to. Parking in the area is restricted, but a free permit is provided. There is a tremendous variety of restaurants (Thai, French, burger, steak and others) a very short walk away. I have no criticisms at all and would gladly stay here again.
A lovely home from home feel
The room was small but cosy, which as a woman traveling on her own, was more of a comfort than anything else.
The owners had clearly thought about creating that home from home feel with a proper duvet, snacks in my room on arrival and lovely decoration. The bathroom and bedroom was clean and I felt nice a relaxed - which after a challenging day, was a welcome feeling.
Scotia House an excellent B&B guest house
I arrived early evening on a cold, wet and windy Sunday in January.
I was greeted by Marie who instantly radiated warmth and good cheer. My single room was impeccably clean and very comfortable, on the small side certainly but all I needed was there. Breakfast the next day was equally good and was not on the small side. An excellent place to stay when in Harrogate. I would certainly use it again.
Justifies the good reviews it has
could not fault in any area , well appointed room, spacious , warm welcome
We stayed here overnight on our trip around Yorkshire and we could not have been more pleased.
It was only a few minutes into Harrogate main shopping area and the room was lovely. We were very impressed by the breakfast, there was a large selection of fresh fruit and the lady who owns it was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it.
Scotia House Boutique B & B
This lovely town house was just across the road from the HIC where we were visiting for the Good Food Show, so the situation of the accommodation was excellent for us.
Our room, which was on the first floor at the front of the house, was beautifully appointed, comfortable and extremely clean and tidy. Despite the double glazing there was some road noise, but it was not bad enough to disturb our sleep and was a small price to pay for the convenience of being near the centre of such a pretty town. Marie, the owner, had provided us with a parking permit for a nearby road, which turned out to be very useful as the area was very busy because of the show. Marie was very friendly and provided us with a excellent breakfast before our departure. We would definitely stay there again.
