Very cosy and welcoming.
We didn't even venture out as the meal we had was very good
lovely small hotel
I can't complain about the accommodation.
Very clean room, crispy sheets. A bath tub would be useful as the shower was a bit small. Had 2 starters, both served on a leaf of (sorry) not very fresh lettuce. Apart from that they were delicious. :)
A lovely place for a night out.
A bit understaffed maybe. Very cosy restaurant. I would definitely stay again.
recommended by friend but disappointed
Although the room had clearly been newly decorated and carpeted the snags quickly appeared.
The toilet roll holder and tap were very loose, as though unfinished. The bed was so soft we found it hard to sleep, made worse by the snorer next door. The bright street light just outside the room was so bright that it seemed like daylight through the badly fitting curtains. As we sat up in bed in the morning to watch tv and have a cuppa, every time someone went through the corridor door the bedhead shook. To top it all, there was a team of builders on a new several stories high build directly opposite. As we checked out we were going to mention our dissatisfaction but only the cleaner was there to take the keys, so we didn't. We felt this hotel to be the least value for money of all the places we stayed at during out 2 week break.
Hotel in a good position, but things could be better.
Our bedroom (room 2) was of a reasonable, size with good views.
The en-suite was a bit on the small side, and the shower fairly basic, and the radiator in the en-suite did not work. Basic things were not provided such as drinking glasses (flimsy plastic cups were provided) and face flannels. There was only one chair in the room (for two people!) and no comfortable chairs were provided in which to relax. Only liquid soap was provided, and the option of bars of soap for those who prefer these, was not available. The qualitity of the evening meal was fine, but the service was slow (probably due to the kitchen staff, and not the serving staff). The staff were friendly, and helpful as they could be, in the circumstances. The continental breakfast, included in the b&b price, was reasonable, but uninspiring, and no protein such as cold meats or cheese, or salad items, such as tomoatoes and cucumber, were avaialble. Basic hot items were available at extra cost, but at the price asked, they were poor value for the price charged. In view of the above, the value was average. I would stay again, but look at other available options first.
Pleasant location close to Loch and spacious bathroom - a change from a lot of hotel 'cupboard' en suites.
Mattress could do with replacing in the room we had - very saggy!
Hotel is in great setting, lovely walks by water.
Restaurant and bar team friendly. Food was good. Bedroom clean but able to hear other rooms TV .
Position of hotel is amazing, staff is quite slow, room is very clean and there is no internet
What a lovely place to stay!
Stayed here for one night to attend a wedding at The Cruin further round the loch.
The staff were really friendly and the room was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was relaxed and served until fairly late, which is good for the morning after the night before. The hotel is easy to find and has a large car park. All in all a great place to stay with a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Room was clean- but had no view - just a wall.
There was a door banging until late - prob a kitchen or public toilet underneath the room.
Breakfast was simple but plenty of it.
