Modern, Convenient and value for money

I booked this room through late rooms and got a good deal, the hotel was modern, close to the city center and staff were very polite and attentive.

Would recommend to others thinking about staying here.

Small but perfectly formed

Bloc gets the perfect balance, especially for business travellers, in my opinion.

Yes the rooms are small but the modern Japanese vibe and well-thought-out little details mean you don't typically care. (The only gripe being that the table is only small enough to work with a laptop without a mouse and would be a problem if you want to do anything more 'expansive'.) Wet room bathroom with great drench head; check. Blackout blinds that actually work; check. Decent soundproofing; check. Soft touch-switch lighting for mid-night time checks or toilet visits; check. Helpful and friendly reception; check. Quality free toiletries; check. By not focusing on facilities (no tea/coffee, fridge, in-room iron, wardrobes, etc.) Bloc can give you a stripped-down but quality experience for a very good price. People preferring more space or staying for extended periods where you want to fully unpack will not like this. (There are no wardrobes/shelving, but there's a big hollow under the bed to store your bag and work out of that.) Probably neither will more old-fashioned clients who want a bath or don't like showers with minimalist cube controls. But I'd recommend it to everyone else.

Just what i needed in an overnight stay

The staff were extremely helpful, sometimes going out of theri way to help.

The room was big enough for me, just appropriate for one night stay, the only thing i missed was being able to make my own cup of drink, i had to go and buy coffee at the reception @ £1 per cup whenever i needed a hot drink.

Excellent for sleep over

This hotel is fantastic value provided your requirement is just for a place to sleep.

The rooms are compact but well thought out. There is very little hanging space behind the door 3 hooks and you will need to keep your clothes in the case. There is a space under the bed to slide a small case away. The double bed is comfortable with the TV at the end of the bed. The shower/toilet room is again small but functional, the drench shower is fun but leaves the wet room wet. It is fantastic value for money with nice restaurants close by. This was my 3rd visit so can't be bad.

Good location for choice of good food outlets

Great spot in Jewellery Quarter, with good food outlets nearby.

Cheap and the room was small, but I chose not to have a window, so room was pitch black so slept very well!.
