100% would recommend it to a friend
Warm welcome upon arrival.
Good room facilities with comfortable bed. Varied menu with plenty of choice. Food quality was very good and cooked to a high standard.
The Cromwell Arms
Stayed in one of the loft rooms.
Large room very clean and quiet. Could easily accommodate a third bed for another family member. Breakfast was lovely .
Good Value Pub Hotel
Very Friendly Pub hotel with good selection of food and real ales.
Hotel room I was given was above the bar and was a little dated and quite noisy. Would recommend requesting a room to the back of the hotel if you want a more peaceful stay.
2 day break
Lovely building both inside and out.
We booked late and had spent a long time finding somewhere with a twin available. Our booking through Late Rooms was a family room so we assumed there would be at least 2 beds, however on arrival we had been put in a double room and they were unable to move us as all other rooms were occupied. So 2 nights in a 4' 6" bed was not ideal. Breakfast is from 7 - 9am, being on holiday7 - 9.30/10am would have been better. We ate in both nights and the food was excellent. I do not think the price we paid was any cheaper on Late Rooms than if I had booked direct and for £85.00 pn a pack of biscuits on the tea tray would have been nice. Everyone knows that you do not take your own food/drink into areas where your host is selling/serving but one thing I did not like here was the Polite Notice in room 'asking' guests not to have takeaway food or alcohol not purchased on the premises in their room. We had a small hotel for 16 years and have travelled extensively in this country and abroad and have never come across this before.
Overall we had a very pleasant stay.
Amazing!! A+ A+ A+ A+
We wanted to go away for a spring break.
We saw the cromwell arms listed on Laterooms and looking at the great reviews we thought we would give it a try. We were not disappointed.
We arrived around half 8 on Friday evening, checked in and we were taken to our rooms and kindly asked if would require any food as the kitchen would be shut at 9. Throughout our stay the staff were so kind and helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
The Breakfast each morning was of a really high quality with proper (what seemed like) locally sourced produce all of which was freshly cooked to order. There is nothing more I can say other than thank you to Garry, James and the rest of the staff at the Cromwell arms and it will not be long before you see us again. Thank you
Lovely,friendly and welcoming.Super room
