Spring Break

We spent 5 great days in Stratford in the Holiday Inn; the hotel has an excellent location, 2 minutes walk from the shops and restaurants, shops and RSC theatres.

On top of this there is a lovely heated terrace area at the rear of the holiday which runs down to the river Avon where the boats pick up guests if you want to do a short cruise on the river. The breakfast was very good, the only issues I had were that we had to make our own toast (most people ended up with bread that was burnt or not toasted at all) and we had to get our own tea & coffee from a machine which was OK but on the Saturday morning the hotel was exceptionally busy and we had to cue for quite a time only to find that some the coffees were not available. Also the food in the restaurant in the evening was very average. Generally though we had a great time, brilliant location, very clean and very friendly/helpful staff and quite good value for money - just one word of warning you pay £5 per day for parking in the hotel car park.

A Great Weekend

We hadn't stayed in a Holiday Inn before or been to Stratford.

The hotel was great, it was very clean, staff were very nice, the food was great as was he location. We couldn't have chosen a better hotel as it was a 5 minute walk into town and it was right on the banks of the river Avon. It was very good value for money, especially taking into account that it was a Bank Holiday weekend. I would certainly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Excellent location.

Hotel is in an excellent location within walking distance of town.

Reception and restaurant beautiful. Overlooks the river in beautiful surroundings. Felt the bedrooms may look a little tired compared to the rest of the hotel but clean and very comfortable

short break

Local town but a underestimated.

Great break in a great town - complemented by a great / refurbished Holuday Inn. Will be back

Hotel is a safe bet with a couple of minor gripes

Plus points are lovely helpful staff, hotel in great location , overall cleanliness and consistency associated with the brand.

Minus points are very heavy drinks prices in the bar, breakfast system seemingly hardly able to cope with high hotel occupancy, shower pressure in room very low

A lovely hotel with picturesque surroundings. Entrance reception glossy and stylish.

Very impressed with the hotel.

Hotel staff were brilliant and friendly and courteous. Has excellent leisure fascilities. It was also nice that it is near town centre and was able to walk rather than take the car in.

Night away

Great location, just a stroll into town also backs onto the river with an excellent sun Teresa Very clean and modern staff very helpful & professional Only down side no free wi fi ( at moment?) had to pay for on site parking but got to leave the car there the following day at no extra cost so not really an issue.

Would stay again. Oh & buffet breakfast not to be missed .
