Well, I've said it really.
Friendly staff, comfortable bed, and I slept well. Breakfast good. The house was interesting for those with an eye for architecture.
last minute stop
I booked via the net as I wasn't going to get home soon.
Arrived at hotel 24hr reception, no rang bell waited women who I had woke up answered didn't know I was coming. Room on second floor ok cold bathroom down corridor floors creaking worried about waking others
bed rattled ended up wedging head board and legs to enable me to sleep. ended up going to sleep about 2.30am. Breakfast was good plenty to eat and drink. Was told I had to pay before leaving told them I paid online they said not paid. got home found two payments for room ended up getting bank to cancel on before it was paid
overall 4* hotel but would say a low 3* maybe a 2* would only stay if nothing else at the cost
We went for one evening as we had a friends party to attend, the staff were most helpful and friendly, the room was lovely, with a wonderfully grand bed, a thoroughly enjoyable stay, with great food, we will be back again
Great value for money
Great location, great value for money, great service
Entrance is at the side (not rear as stated by sign at front)
Reception bell is inside, to the left of the stairway, under the opaque window
wont be returning
On arrival the front door was locked once a member of staff answered we were taken to the reception area if you can call it that it was a table with a card machine on it we were shown to a ground floor room thankfully it had a ensuite there was no restaurant or bar in the building and were not informed of anywhere locally to go and in the morning at 6am we were rudely awoke by the sound of doors slamming as we had been situated next to the kitchen which was incredibly noisey and could hear everything being said and all the pots and pans the breakfast was also not great I've never felt like i don't want to go back to somewhere but i was relieved when i left and went home will not recommend
A very comfortable stay
A delightful hotel with beautiful rooms
Pleasantly surprised by the four poster bed and the size of the en-suite bathroom.
The best nights sleep I've had in some time. I shall return!
As there were major road works on Staplegrove Road it would have been helpful if Blorenge House had a sign to direct us to the house.
We found it very confusing as we were not aware that the road was a 'one-way' due to the works.
Good value family room in a traditional small hotel
We stayed in the family room which was plenty big enough for two adults and two teenage children.
Good value for money and the swimming pool after a days drive a bonus.
Convenient and satisfactory.
The hotel is adequate and is located centrally.
Unfortunately, I could only book a room with a shared shower and toilet. I have stayed here before in better rooms.
