Decent place, decent price
This was an average place but that's not a criticism. The price was £38 pppn and for that we had a double room. Nice bedding, modern and clean, though the room was quite cosy. No issues with noise. Bathroom was a little tired but the shower was excellent.
As the wider facilities, the wander upstairs was a bit of a trial (not great if mobility impaired) but that's an old building for you. Staircases and landings looked a little dated, so the room was actually a bit of a surprise.
The best bits were the little touchs that the owners and staff made. We had to be gone early on the Sunday so they made us bacon sandwiches in advance. Also, if you decided not to eat in the hotel and brought a takeaway back, they provide crockery and cutlery for you to use.
All in all, I'd say this was a decent place to stay at a decent price. I've stayed in better but also much worse, and for more money so on that basis, it's a thumbs up and we'd stay there again
